How many things did you have on your registry?

Anonymous, on February 21, 2014 at 11:33 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 22

Also, what were the price ranges of things you had? When you had your bridal shower did most people buy off the registry?

I had a lot of stuff! I had price ranges all over the place from less than $10 to a $500 comforter set, lol.

And yes, everyone bought off the registry.

I have 150 so far. Our BBB consultant said with the amount of guests she recommends re register for 200-300 gifts. I thought that was a bit much but then thinking about the whole price range thing, I get it. :-)

I only registered for like 40 things only because I had a shower. I really only wanted cash for the wedding so I kept it small. I got every single item except the luggage. Most people bought off the registry, though we had a few completely random gifts.

Mine seriously has like 25 items on it. There really wasn't much we need because we already combined everything from my apartment to his house. I didn't want a bunch of useless stuff so I only registered for items we really needed

80 something at BB&B and 90 something at Kohl's. Ranged from $2-$350. We're having a 200 person wedding. In my family you buy items off the registry for the shower and money for the wedding.

We have about 60 items at BBB & Kohls and about 30 at Target. We registered for things we will use or want to upgrade. We even registered for board games, coffee pods, tervis accessories. My family always wants the registry whereas we would prefer cash so we honestly just went for things we really want no matter the price. Our prices range from 1.99 - 400.

I was actually wondering how many items we should be registering for since we are in the process of creating a registry now. We will only be having about 20 guests at our wedding and started a registry at Macy's but have been having problems finding things there we want between the price ranges of $50 - $100. We were thinking about starting a registry at target to see if we could find things that are more reasonably priced since we do not think someone would buy us a gift much more than $100.

We searched and search and were able to come up with about 80 items, not including multiples. Price range from $5-300.

I have 110 items at BBB and 30 or so at Macy's. They range from $2.99 napkins to a $450 Dyson vacuum with lots of things in between. I think we have 50 items or so that were under $20 (because every napkin, placemat, towel, etc.) counts as its own item. I haven't had my shower yet, but things have been purchased off of the registry!

We registered for about 40 gifts. They range from $10-400 in price (only one item is $400, the next most expensive is $150.) We are having a very small wedding of under 50 people. No shower.

Our shower consultant recommended that the amount of items you register for should exceed the number of guests. The thought behind it is that some guest purchase more then one item and you have to have enough to go around. Also, people will use this invite for your bridal shower and wedding gifts. Keep in mind that your registry is supposed to be a wish list. Things that you wouldn't normally buy for yourself. I had things from 9.99 to a pots and pan set that was almost $500.00. You'd be surprised at what people are willing to spend on you.

I had my shower this past Saturday. I had registered for 200 items and received 83 items off of the registry and received other Misc. gifts that were not on my registry (toasting flutes, cake knives, bridal robe, garter, etc.) I did pretty well.

We registered at BBB and the girl told us for our (possible) 150 person wedding that we should have 300-400 items on it. that is IMPOSSIBLE first off. second off, how are people gonna sift thru that much stuff to figure out what they wanna get us? we have everything we could ever need already. we're the type that if we see something or need something, we buy it. we dont need anything upgraded because it is like us to upgrade as we need it. we absolutely love BBB and we thought it'd be easy to rack up the items but we spent at least an hour in the store clicking stuff and only walked out with less than 40 items on it, and by the end of it we were just clicking things just to click. we put real small gadget things on it all the way up to 300$ stand mixer and 350$ knife set. we registered at target too and left with maybe 15 items on it. hopefully keeping it simple will get us everything we register for Smiley smile

We have 100 guests and I registered for 90 gifts but that includes the $7 washcloth that matches the $14 towel ect so more like 50 gifts

Ours range from $30 to $300 (if you don't count china all together)

I don't expect much from our friends they will most likely buy something completely random and I keep buying stuff off my registry!

Example, Just got a Le Creuset 5 qt french (dutch) oven for $80 at Marshalls woooo!

About 70 but some things will be taken off. I have a few single digit things up to my $300 pots.

Oh and 13-15 items on Etsy. Most expensive being $40.

We registered at BBB we have about 150 items on our list that does include things like 12 napkins etc, we have every price point. I had my shower last weekend and most everything I received was off the registry, we now have about half our items left. We also received gift cards which are great, this way can go back and get the things we really want and weren't purchased.
