How Many No Shows Did You Have?

LanaKane, on October 10, 2017 at 9:03 AM Posted in Planning 0 54

For those who have already held their wedding and reception, approximately how many people RSVP-ed "yes" and how many no shows did you have? My friend told me she had about 70 people rsvp yes, only to have 52 show up. That's a 25% no show rate!

We had 6 last minute cancellations (1 couple for emergency surgery, another for medical, and the last due to the hurricane where they were). Only one true no show.

This was a big worry of ours! We had about 48 people rsvp yes. We had 2 back out due to health reasons but managed to tell us just as our final count was due, so we didn't have to pay for them. The day of, everyone showed up, which was awesome!

We had 187 people RSVP yes and had 4 no shows.

ETA: We also had 2 wedding crashers and I'm sure they drank enough booze to make up for a few of the no shows.

I m pretty worried about this as we have a lot of declines ( which were expected since 95 percent of those declines are from out of state)

eta- my venue has a minimum requirement, so either way, I am paying fro them even if they don't show - it sucks!!

We had 9 out of 192 guests (4 were legitimate; one couple had a very last minute family emergency and the other came in town for the wedding from out of state and got very sick the day of) but the other 5 were annoying. Especially since two of them are my cousins who RSVPed after the deadline and said they were bringing dates.

Everyone who rsvp'd "yes" came. We had one couple leave early because the wife was sick.

We didn't have any no show's. We had one couple cancel due the week of due to an unexpected cancer diagnoses, so I definitely don't count that as a no show.

We only had 1 person not come and that was because her husband unexpectedly passed away the week prior.

I had 4 no-shows out of around 120 people. One was my cousin, who hadn't RSVPed, but then had told me yes when I reached out to him after the deadline. The only redeeming part of that is that he declined to bring a date, so I only paid for him not to show. Ugh. 1 was a family friend and her date who have a history of being a bit flaky, but they were local and I STILL don't know why they didn't come because they never gave me a reason. Only one had a legitimate reason, and that's because she was going through chemo and was having a really rough week.

We had some last minute cancellations and about 12 no shows. It ended up being 21 people total that was the difference between the number we have to our caterer and people who were there.

We had 80 confirmed RSVPs and 65 actually attend.

One was my aunt who chose to go on a trip on the opposite coast and "fly in" the afternoon of. Needless to say she had flights delayed and the wedding is about 2 hours from the airport so big eye roll when she missed. Another of my aunts decided to take a nap on the couch before my wedding and texted me after the recessional that she was "just going to stay in".

I'm 100% going to remember all of this for years to come. I was livid.

I had a few no shows, at least 5 at the very last minute. One couple has an elderly and sick mom, another gal had been sick all week and lived 3 hours away. The other couple though... she sent me a text the morning of my wedding to tell me her child care fell through. If you didn't know her, it would seem like a legit excuse. Knowing her though, it came across as a passive aggressive "you won't let me bring my horribly behaved child so I'm not coming". We haven't been that close of friends over the last few years, and when we did get together, it was all my effort. I figure that's just the end of that friendship.

Had 131 RSVP yes and 6 no shows. 2 let me know a few days before, 2 were OOT and had a day of emergency so they couldn't drive in and another 2 we never heard from as to why and I will never forget lol.

I think we had 2 no shows (out of 175 attending guests)? But there was also a hurricane that day and all major highways were closed!

One of FH's extended family members just didn't show and didn't say anything, and one of my guy friends was supposed to drive down that morning for the wedding and (wisely) decided not to.

We had 62 confirmed RSVP yes and out of those, 4 no shows. We also had 4 confirmed declines before the RSVP cutoff and a lot of single guest we extended plus ones to declined to bring a guest.

All but 1 of our no shows were out of town guests. We reached out to them the Monday after the wedding to make sure they didn't have any travel issues and everything was ok, but haven't heard anything back.

We had 129 people confirm. We decided to pay for 130 just in case we needed a last minute seat. 24 freaking people decided to not show up and didnt even bother to call or text to say anything.

    UGH

We had 184 RSVP yes and only 1 no show. It was somebody's kid that they ended up leaving with their in-laws, so it wasn't a huge deal as they had only a kid meal ordered for them.
