I have a maid of honor and 1 bridesmaid. My FH just has a best man. He asked why I was having both and I said it is my dream wedding and this is what I want. Discussion ended there
I’m keeping it short and simple. 1 MOH 2 bridesmaids. I went with family. My niece, daughter, and future sister in law who’s my MOH. I have also a flower girl (my nieces daughter) and 2 boys (1 ring bearer and 1 comes in with sign announcing my arrival) which are from her side of the family. I personally, didn’t want to involve friends. I’m keeping my wedding short simple and fun. We prefer those that are in our lives daily and not just here and there. We are trying to keep realistic to our list of guests. Literally it’s mostly family. And like a few tight friends that are almost as if they are family. That’s it. Nothing to huge less than 50 guests with all included. I would say do what you and your S/O wants. Don’t listen to anyone else. It’s a day for you two to enjoy. And have the people you enjoy the most and are always there for you.
I’m deciding between 5 or 6 total! It can be costly but I also think it can be a lot of fun to surround yourself with all your closest friends and honor them through having them in your wedding party!

This sounds like me, I only wanted one because of all the covid restriction and not sure people would be able to make it. I just changed my mind to taking 4 (since our wedding is in October and things might be nicer). FH had 8 guys, but I don't have that many friends that will make up that number, so 4 is the number.

If I was having my wedding out of country, I would probably be expected to have up to 10 as in laws would be added on my list. However, we have agreed to 4 each.
