I have 5. Due to Covid + rescheduling to a Friday we only have 40 guests attending so yeah over 10% of my guests are bridesmaids. We also have uneven sides but that's okay. Whatever makes you happy.

My FH wanted a lot more groomsmen than me but I also wanted an even wedding party. To compromise, he has 5 groomsmen and I added my brother and brother in law to my wedding party. So 3 bridesmaids and 2 bridesmen for me
