How Many Accessories are you Wearing?

GeekyBride, on April 4, 2015 at 9:58 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 33

I'm looking at my jewelry for the day, and it seems like a lot. I've got a necklace, earrings, a bracelet, my ring, and a hair accessory. Is that too much? It looks like so much bling all in one place.

What are you wearing?

I've got a jeweled headband, earrings and a bracelet. I say wear whatever you want!

I haven't decided yet. I want to wear earrings and a necklace. Some friends say I need to wear a bracelet too. For me, earrings, necklace, and bracelet feel like too much.

I am wearing earrings, bracelet, and hair clip. I decided not to wear a necklace because of my dress.

I don't think that's too much. I'm wearing the same as you minus the bracelet. My dress has no bling anyway Smiley smile

I'm a believer in Coco Chanel's advice "after you get dressed, before you leave the house, take one thing off". I'm wearing earrings and a necklace and maybe a hair comb.

I think it depends a lot on your dress. My dress had a lot of detail fabric detail (not bling detail) so I toned down the accessories and they weren't missed. I wore a small headband, earrings, and wedding ring and a family heirloom ring. I didn't need anything else.

I also think you should look like you on your wedding day. So, do you normally wear a lot of jewelry and/or bling? I'm usually a pretty simple styled person so I didn't want to over do it for the wedding.

I wear jewelry every day, but just not all the sparkle. I've almost always got on a necklace and bracelet.

I'll have to go down to the shop and put my dress on, with all the accessories. See what it looks like. I don't typically wear earrings, so maybe I'll ditch those.

    Thanks ladies!

What @sara said. But it depends how blinged out those accessories are. For example, stud earrings- fine. Chandelier earrings, statement necklace, bling hair and bracelet- possibly too much. Do you have pictures?

For a formal event, more is definitely better than less!

My accessories are the same as you. Its all about how you put it together! Mine are a mix of pearls and crystals, so not too much "bling". If you have a heavy necklace and heavy earrings, that's probably too much.

I do,but I can't ever seem to upload them on to WW from my phone. The necklace and earrings are pearl and crystals. The bracelet is just pearls, and the headband is just crystals. I'm hoping my height will make everything seem not so overwhelming, and more spread out. LoL. It just looks like so much! I'll add a photo when I get home.

Earrings which you probably won't see, a necklace... Maybe bracelet but only bc I always wear a watch and have a perpetual white ring around my wrist so it looks dumb.

Right now I have my necklace, earrings, headband and ring. Lol my headband I ordered I was not thinking about the color of my necklace and earrings do I don't know if it will go. My theory is that you can have a lot but look minimal and you can have minimal and look like a lot. It's all in how you pull it off and how it blends together.

Earrings, a necklace, and possibly a flower in my hair. I don't think it sounds like you have too much.

    I am wearing

    earrings - simple pearl

    necklace - diamond pendant

bracelet - charm bracelet that is my something borrowed

flower crown - a small one

    and my ring

so same amount as you. but I think since most of my stuff is more petite or simple, it'll all be okay.

I am wearing a flower hair clip, a pearl and crystal bracelet, pearl and crystal drop earrings and my ring. My dress doesnt allow for a necklace but I would wear one if it did.

It doesn't sound like too much for me!

I'll be wearing a jeweled headband, earrings and a necklace. I haven't decided if I want to wear a bracelet yet, but I think it would look okay, since my earrings aren't dangly or anything! =)

I finally made a decision last night and ordered crystal w/pearl chandelier earrings, pearl w/crystal bracelet, I'll have on my ring, and medium sized pearl/bling hair accessory. I'm debating on simple pendant necklace and will decide when I try everything on together at my next dress fitting! I have bling on my dress at the waistline so I think I'll be fine w/out necklace.

I don't think it sounds like too much as long as the pieces of jewelry don't compete with each other or the detailing of your dress.

I don't have my dress yet but I want lace with at most a sparkly belt, no bling or sequins on the fabric. I plan to wear a headband with some sparkle or beading, earrings, necklace, and my ring. I'm going to keep the earrings and necklace simple like pearls or diamond studs or small drops with a pearl necklace or a simple diamond pendant since I will have more sparkle in my hair. I don't usually wear bracelets, but I do have a pearl bracelet that I will wear of I go with pearl jewelry.

I'm wearing a necklace, earrings, and a hair clip. It really depends on the style of your jewelry if it's too much. If it's all very bling bling it might be too much, but if some pieces are more subtle it should be fine
