How long were you together before getting engaged?

ALMOST 2 YRS... 1 YR 10 MONTHS AND 5 DAYS

He told me he was going to marry me within the first 3 months of meeting me. He had some financial issues he had to get through (thanks to his ex wife) before we could get married. I didn't want a long, drawn out engagement. So once the final payment was made (5 years later), it was engagement, ring, wedding in 4 months.

We were seeing each other for 6 months before we officially started dating then were together about a year and a half before he proposed!

Friends for a year, dating for 2 1/2, so 3.5 altogether!

7 years! it'll be 9 when we get married

I'm glad to see others that are shorter time frames... I am 38 and my fh is 39. This is a second wedding for both of us and we both know what we want. Even though it may not seem like it, we truly didn't rush into it as we both held very high standards and were very picky about who we dated. I had a philosophy in dating that I wouldn't date anyone just to date and would only date someone if I could see a future with them. Mix that with some pretty high standards and there were quite a few first dates but not many that went past that. We are too old to date for the fun of it (even though it is fun with the right person). All that to say, we only have been dating for 4 months (we got engaged after about 3).

A little under two years

Just shy of 15 months.

A little over 4 years.

Together 4 years, known each other for 5. Wedding in one year!

Just over a year.

He said he wanted to ask me sooner, but thought I'd say no if I asked before a year!

10 years. It will be 12 years on our wedding day 🥰

6 years, we were in high school then so marriage was NOT on our timeline. He proposed last year

We were together for 4 years before we got engaged on Jan 1, 2017 and by the time we get married in 2020, we will be together for nearly 8 years! ❤️

Oops n it's 2yrs 10months and 5 days lol

We started dating 1/28/05, got engaged 12/13/15, and were married on 4/30/17, so we were together almost 11 years before we got engaged, and alittle less than 12.5 years when we got married
