How long were you dating before you got ENGAGED? and how long did it take to set a wedding date?

Dated 4.5 years. Will be engaged for 1.5 year so 6 years together when we get married

We have been together 19 years. Got my first e-ring in 1995 and my second one Valentine's Day 2010.

Dated 2 years before getting engaged and we are having a 2 year engagement.

We dated just shy of 2 years before he proposed. we picked a date about 2 weeks later and gave ourselves almost a year and a half to plan. The really cute thing is though is that I'm the only girlfriend he ever had. I was the first girl he even held hands with. And he said before we even started dating that he didn't wanna date someone that he wasn't going to marry. I thought it was just that goofy pre-dating talk, but i guess he wasn't joking!

We were together three weeks when he asked. We have now been together two years and we had a date but I got pregnant so I wanted to put the wedding off cause I wanted to look pretty lol. So now we are planning again (just praying I don't get pregnant again before the wedding lol)

He Proposed on our 11 year anniversary.... I had the date set 2 days later LOL

I have been with my now fiance for 5 years, before he proposed. and we set a date before he even officially proposed to me! haha

We had been dating a little over 6 years before we got engaged, and it took us a few months to set a date but we didn't jump right into planning. We also had a 2 yr engagement. Our families were exasperated with us with how slow we took everything but it worked out for the best in the end.

We had been dating 6 years before he popped the question, about another year to set the date. We'll be together a total of eight years when we finally tie the knot. Our save the dates read... we decided to scratch our seven year itch and say i do.

We were dating for 2 yrs & 3 1/2 mths(june 2010) when we got engaged & we were originally gonna wait until 2.25.12(we already knew that before we got engaged) because that was the anniversary of when we started dating(wouldve been 4 years by then), but in august 2010 we decided to get married sooner so we chose august 27 2011...venue we checked out in feb this year didnt have our date, so we chose the day before

We were dating 2 years almost exactly (we don't have a dating anniversary--just a general idea haha) and we chose a date within the first week. That was my first priority so we could let our families and friends know as soon as possible. Plus it just felt like the first order of business :-) October 6th, 2012 yay!

We got engaged after 3 months of dating. I later found out he bought the ring 2 weeks after our 1st date and had it hid in the safe at work!! We set our date a month after we got engaged. We are getting married on my mom & dad's 45 wedding anniversary.

We'd been together for 4 years when we got engaged and that same night we kinda settled on getting married in 2 years from that night and we both knew it had to be in december but we chose the date around october last year but then had to change it twice and finally got it all together back in January of this year

We were dating for about three months when he asked, we'll have been dating for close to a year and a half once we get married. People have given us a lot of crap for it, but hey, when you know, you know. It took us about two weeks to set a date.

We knew we were going to get married before we even started dating. We could just tell. He proposed 6 months into it (August of last year) and we picked a date officially this past January. We have been together for a year and a half this month and will have been together for 2 and a half years once we get married! :-)

We dated for 5 1/2 years before getting engaged. Once engaged, it took us 4 months to pick a wedding date, because we live in one state and BOTH of our ENTIRE families live in another. We weren't sure what we were going to do. We will be married 3 months after our 6 year anniversary, but we have been close friends since we were in the 7th grade...I will pause for the "awwwww's"
