How did you guys do your signs?

Jocelyn, on October 7, 2019 at 9:36 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10
I'm trying to figure out the best way to get done all my signs on a budget. I got my guest book sign on the marketplace (wood) So I feel like I should keep the theme of signs consistent. Did anyone out there make their own wood signs? Or does anyone else have any other good ideas for making signs since they are so costly and we need so many!

Is this for outdoors? I see that Michael’s has a wooden plaque for $7.99 and if you use their weekly 40% off coupon.
We are doing antique-looking frames on stands and easels for our signage. Luckily I have a home goods store that is closing so I have been buying everything at 70% markdown. Keeping checking Facebook marketplace, they have great stuff added every day.

I bought sign templates from Etsy and had them printed by VistaPrint since they are always having sales.

We are DIYing all of our signage. We’re mostly doing acrylic signs, but I’ve made tons of wooden signs as well if you have any specific questions!

I guess it depends what kind of signs you mean. I do wood burning, so I DIYed our memorial frame with wood... but if you dont have experience with it and depending on when your wedding is, dont go with the wood burning route. However, if you have time to play with it and learn techniques, there are so many different things you can do. Smiley smile

Making wooden signs can be easy. While searching I also came across a local place that rents them. It might be something to look into if you don’t want to end up with a bunch of signs after the wedding.

Yes! How did you make your wood signs? So far I'm just going go head to home depot and have them cut specific measurements on their free wood they have.

I went to home depot and got very cheap wood painted it and traced cursive lettering, also ordered some to be made on Etsy, and other are small chalkboards from Michaels that I made a vinyl sticker with my cricut machine for the wording.

I bought cheap chalkboards from Michaels and used decals purchased from Etsy for the big ones and just wrote with a chalk marker myself on the little ones. Here are examples of how they turned out!
