How did you choose your date?

We chose our time of year based off local climate (we went with spring). Chose the date based of numerous factors. 1. Using numerology (how my grandmother chose the spelling of my name) & made the date relevant to us 2. Day of the week when most people could attend (Saturday in our case) 3. Happened to land on a day when there will be a new moon (signifying new beginnings)

My fiancé and I choose our wedding date 09/27/2025, because it is close to when we got engaged and the month we started dating. We both also love the fall and wanted a fall wedding

I am a teacher so I knew I wanted a summer wedding to limit stress/planning during the school year. We looked at the dates in June and July I saw 7/12/25 and figured this was meant to be. My parents birthdays are 7/21 and 12/7 and they have always talked about those numbers so I knew the 7 and 12 would be a way for me have a connection with those dates and to my parent's! My fiancé didn’t have a preference for a date, and knew that whatever the date was would become special to us!

I have always wanted a winter wedding and when he asked me to marry him I new December 30 was the day so next year I will be married

We knew we wanted a Winter Wedding, something not too close to Christmas, but before Valentine’s Day. So we thought what’s more perfect than January 26💍🖤

I ended up asking my venue if they had any discounted dates that still fell on a weekend (fri-sat) and chose based on the ability to get my dream venue at the cheapest possible price. While it may not have fell in the season I once dreamt of (early-summer/end-of-summer), I am so incredibly happy with my choice (autumn) while remaining in my budget. You don't know until you ask!

For me, picking the "I do" date was easy. Our first date was on the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend, six years ago. I am of the mindset that it is a holiday weekend, perfect for travelers, and easy to remember. September 1st is on a Sunday this year so that is the day we agreed on.

We picked our date based on numerology, angel numbers, or whatever it is called. Me and my partner were seeing the number 11/11 everywhere, all over the place. Clocks, license plates, billboards...So we were like, why not choose November 11th? It was definitely feeling like it was meant to be with how much that number was popping up for us

We chose the month of May because that was the month we travelled to our destination wedding location - Greece. It's not peak tourist season, the weather is gorgeous, and there are lots of special family birthdays and celebrations in the month of May. We are still deciding on the specific date (being mindful not to get married on someone else's special day).

We wanted a month that is different than most of our friends’ wedding anniversary. We looked to see what auspicious dates are in August-October. We also wanted a summer wedding so any Saturdays in august that are lucky, we would go with. Also needed to make sure our venue had those Saturdays available. Turns out August 10th,2024 is Chinese Valentine’s Day. 😍

We chose October 25th 2025 for the gorgeous fall colors and leaves changing. We both thrive and are so much happier in the fall!

Hello …My name is Dawn. He got down on one knee , Gave me a ring and said will you Mary me??? Of course I said yes . My fiancé brought out a deck of cards and saids let’s pick for a date . And 5 and 4 of Diamonds was the date. I love him do much. 🥰

Initially, we decided that we would have a wedding in the summer, so the choice was immediately reduced from 12 to 3 months. We also wanted a beautiful date - and hence out of 90 days there were only 3 left - 06.06, 07.07, 08.08. The only free date was 08.08, so we settled on this date. So everything is simple for us

Our date checked lined up perfectly with a ton of factors and we're lucky it all came together! It's 5/25/25.

- It's a visually pleasing / vanity number (5/25/25) so it's easy to remember. In my partner's culture a vanity date holds extra special significance.

- It's during Memorial Day Weekend, which is a holiday. Therefore there's plenty of time for out of towners to fly here and back. There's also plenty of time to recover from the festivities.

- It's the Star Wars original release day (5/25/77). We're having a Star Wars themed wedding so the date carries an extra dose of symbolism.

- My partner and I are finishing our doctoral programs right around that time so it's a perfect way to start our new chapter together!
