Honeymoon weeks after wedding

Michelle, on October 13, 2016 at 1:44 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 52

Has anyone had a small break in time from the wedding until the honeymoon? If we do a cruise, it's possible there will be 2 weeks between the wedding and the honeymoon. If we do all inclusive resort, just a few days. I know I want to take off a few days after the wedding. I've joked and said maybe I could just take 4 weeks off.

And who knows....our situation could be different then and I may not even be in the workforce, working on some plans and goals to change all of that.

We have 3 weeks in between our wedding and honeymoon. We are going on a cruise, and the one we wanted only happened to sailing on our wedding day or 3 weeks later. Smiley smile

We're doing our honeymoon the following year after taxes. We just can't afford it with wedding costs. I think it great to wait if you need to, enjoy your wedding and the next few days then worry about packing and flights etc.

That's up to you. You go on your honeymoon when you can. Doesn't matter if it's 1 week, day after, or next year.

We are waiting 2 months to take our honeymoon. I'm a teacher, so I had to wait until summer vacation.

We are waiting 3 weeks, and I am so grateful. I won't be able to truly relax for the first few days after the wedding. Nor do I want to have to worry about packing for a week during these last few weeks. I feel like waiting is the best decision we made!

We're going on a mini-moon 8 months after the wedding because FH cant get time off until then.

I'm okay with it because the idea of jetting off to a vacay immediately seems nice, but I know I'm going to want time to decompress from the wedding before jumping into another "big thing". Granted, I mean like a week or two not 8 months, but c'est la vie.

We are not planning on doing our honeymoon right after the wedding. Probably waiting at least a few months if not more. We haven't even started planning it yet.

We're waiting almost 3 months after to take our honeymoon. Beaches aren't warm enough in March.

We are waiting 3 1/2 months for our honeymoon simply because it was a gift and we didn't have to schedule it. Without that gift we were not planning to do a honeymoon.

We were married on June 11 and left for our Honeymoon in Maldives on Sept 24.

We took a couple of days off before and after the wedding, but we couldn't get more time off from work until Sept so we waited...

I'm actually waiting for 2 months. Planning a real honeymoon when the kids are with their dad for an extended period of time.

I have lots of clients who take time off between the wedding and the honeymoon. It can be a great way to wind down from the wedding and really be relaxed when you two final get away together. Don't feel bad about it at all Smiley smile

A lot of people that I know waited several months. We are doing a short trip to Cancun after our wedding but doing an official honeymoon to Europe 6 months later. My FH doesn't get a lot of vacation time and we didn't want to use it all on in at once.
