Honeymoon weeks after wedding

We are taking a small trip (1hr away) to a local beach for two days after our wedding...but waiting 8 months for the real honeymoon in august. soooo. You do whatever works best!

We won't be able to honeymoon until a while after our wedding due to funds but we're ok with that.

Getting married in Jan (but it's a destination) and we are taking a minimoon in April to the Keys. I have heard it's nice to take a break in between so you can relax and really enjoy your honeymoon.

FH and I were set on a honeymoon right after our wedding. However, he is going to start the police academy soon and they said going on a honeymoon won't be allowed due to the probationary period (one year) that won't allow vacation days. So we've decided to take our honeymoon on our 1 year anniversary. Since we will wait a year, we can save more and have an even better honeymoon than our original plan! Works for me!

We have to wait until the year after our wedding for our "true" honeymoon....we have to go to Cancun the month after our wedding for his brother and SIL vow renewal. Cancun and a beach is not my cup of tea nor is spending our "honeymoon" with his entire family

It depends on finances. We're probably going to be about $1500 over what FH wants to spend on the wedding, so I suspect a "let's wait on our honeymoon..." conversation! But I don't want to because then it probably wouldn't be until the following summer because I'd be going back to school in January! We'll see though, gotta do what we gotta do.

I'm not even planning my honeymoon yet. Son has 3 DAYS of school left after the destination wedding so we have to come back. But we have many trips planned this year leading up to the wedding. I'm burnt out on planning vacations and will want to just relax after the wedding lol. We were thinking late 2017 to early 2018 Italy so that'll be almost 6months to a year gap.

We're getting married in November and planning HM for February. There's no "rules" for when you have to take your honeymoon. Do what's best for you.

We are waiting 6 months because FH works at university and I work for the NBA so our season will be over. Going to Spain for 2.5 weeks

We are waiting a month and going to key west over New Years. We can't wait!!

Our honeymoon was almost a month after our wedding due to our custody schedule with DH's kids. They live with us during the summer, so we waited until the end of the summer when they went to their mom's house to take our honeymoon.
