High heels in outside wedding

GBAC :), on March 4, 2012 at 4:13 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

So the ceremony is outside on a lawn. i was thinking that i should probably wear wedges so im not sinking in the grass the whole time, but i cant find any cute wedges that arent too casual. do stilettos really sink in the grass that bad?

Same problem here. Someone posted this website on another forum and I have heard good things about them.. http://thesolemates.com/

Yes, but you can look for solemates. They go over the stiletto heel and are wider so you don't sink in. They come in clear or black. Just google "solemates" and you'll find them.

Also, warn your guests so the ladies know ahead of time. I put this info on my wedding website.

Yes, they work. My heels were not stilettos so I didn't need them, but I gave some to my mom and a BM and they worked wonderfully! Plus, I tried them out before the wedding and they worked.

I've been looking at heels with a wider heel - inbetween stiletto and wedge (idk what that is called).. but I"m not sold on anything yet. The solemates look cool tho.

I would definitely buy these. My cousin had an outdoor wedding and we had to walk over grass, not only did we sink into it but our shoes were covered in dirt afterwards!

LOL~ I'm so glad you asked that question! I was just asking my FH about that last night. We are also having an outdoor wedding. I was worried about getting my heels stuck in the grass and falling over while I walked down the aisle! I so would too!

I love the idea of sole mates, definitely buying these babies for me and my BM's!!!

But also -- if you're wearing a long dress, noone's going to know what your shoes are...

Most important thing: be comfortable. Another suggestion: walk thru the area before the service & ck for uneven spots, etc. Test your shoes to make sure they're going to be OK.
