Help! Is my budget enough?

Portia, on October 18, 2019 at 4:16 AM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 12
My name is Portia and I'm getting married on 8/8/2020! Excited and nervous at the same time. Simply because of the budget. I have a a budget of 8 grand and i dont want to go over that. Can I get a great wedding out of an 8000 budget? I'm in search of venues right now and I'm in the central Jersey area. I want to get married and have the reception in the same area. Trying to come out the cheapest way possible. Any suggestion please I'll take them. Thank u so much

That's going to be tough in any part of NJ unless it's a super small wedding. And is that cost for the entire wedding? Including venue, food, dress, flowers, photography, etc? That's very very tight. You might be able to do that for about 50 people or less or have a less traditional wedding in a restaurant.

We've decided on a hall and get it catered. We were going cheap with 60 person guest list on a Sunday and were still about $16k.
Search around for "untraditional" wedding places and you can make it work.
Even the backyard can easily turn into $12k, so it's doable, but be creative 😉.

You may want to think about an off day, like a Thursday or a Sunday brunch. McFadden Catering is very inexpensive and has several nice venues but all in south jersey. Also can try Bogey's in South Jersey because they were very well priced.

Hey girl! I think I just sent you a friend request lol. I don’t know how to use this app. Anyways... so I think your budget is good and will be enough of course it depends how many guesses you are thinking to invite. For example, in my wedding my fiancé and I are thinking about 50 people and as I mentioned in my last message we are only paying $3,500 and the venue is beautiful!!! If you want you can text me better lol. 862-276-1319 i think I posted this message in your wall 😂😂😂😂 don’t mind my mom in the pic lol

I'm having a 50 person wedding at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton NJ. It's beautiful and my guests don't have to travel far. The house can accommodate 90 I think. The ceremony is right outside the house in the garden at the gazebo and you get security automatically so no one from the general public can enter.

Really? Hmm I can't cut my guest list that short even if I wanted to. Our files are too big. 160 ppl and it was 200. Im looking at vfws and lodges still. When they starting talking per person, that's when it gets crazy. I'm in central Jersey, Somerset. Trying to stay in the middle though.
