Having Wedding Dress Regrets/second thoughts

That dress is stunning. If you back out of the dress now you would lose all that money correct? If you loved it when you tried it on I would say wait to see how you feel in it again. I have seen a lot of people on here having dress regret or what ifs. But if you didn't love the dress in the beginning maybe you should go look at more dresses. Just remember, the pics you see on here are fabulous but you may not feel the same about that dress once it is on you. It is like looking at it online it could look different on.

The dress is beautiful. I had such crazy regret that I was back in the store the next day buying a new one....plus if you buy a new one, will you regret not wearing the one you picked with your mom?

The dreess looks so good on you. It would probably help if you try the dress on again. I know I started feeling a little blah about my dress but when I had it on again I was in love.

I have been feeling the same way when I look at pictures of myself in my dress. But I think it's different when you actually have it on. I'm hoping that when I put it back on I'm going to remember exactly why I chose. I hope the same for you and I'm sure it will!

Thank you all for the kind words and compliments . It helps having an outside opinion! I guess I get worried because my fiancé is Arabic and, traditionally, a lot of his close friends and loved ones who were brides had gorgeous, elaborate, beaded ballgowns with tons of stuff going on. Our reception is in a ballroom, so just didn’t want to look underdressed in the setting and with what he’s used to!

Those are very good points, Jennifer and Amandaw! I would lose the money if I were to change, as it’s a final sale. I did love the dress when I put it on, I remember not wanting to take it off and just staring at it repeatedly in the mirror. I didn’t even think about the fact that it was such a special, uplifting moment for my mom to be there with me while I picked it out, in such a scary, dark time before her surgery it lifted her spirits. That alone makes it that much more important to remind myself why I picked this one rather than swapping out, I suppose!

Kayla, I’m hoping that trying it on again will do the same for me! I finally get to pick it up in November, so I’m crossing fingers!

I agree with everyone! It will look so much more breathtaking in your size! Don't forget the hair, veil, and jewelry to really make the wow factor. And if it comes and you totally have regrets, there is definitely still time to rush order another before June :-) I was worried too about my dress, but I went back to the bridal shop casually by myself and tried on my sample dress and fell in Love all over again! (Stop following bridal accounts on Instagram too!) good luck!

I totally understand the second guessing, being a person that probably the only thing I have not second guessed at some point or the other in my life is marrying my FH.

However, this dress is elegant and breathtaking alright and when you have it on again and it's your size, I am willing to bet you will not second-guess a thing after that. You made a great choice

So that dress clearly doesn't fit you, that's the issue. When that dress comes in and you try it on in your size, it will be absolutely stunning. I would stick with the dress. The style is beautiful and romantic.

This dress looks amazing. Also it is glamorous and elegant and you will not look under dressed! Most people feel probably unsure when they look at their snapshots made in the salon. The lighting and the angle are never the best to do you and the dress justice. Imagine how you would look in this dress with a professional photographer- everyone will be blown away!

Can you "visit" your dress? Go back to the store and try on the sample again. You might find that you just miss it and see how beautiful it makes you feel. It's stunning, really!

I understand what you mean. My mom lives far away from me so when she visited I felt rushed to say yes that day too and now seeing everyone else's dresses I start to wonder.. but then I remember how I felt, I look at pictures of other dresses I tried on and didn't like.. and it helps.
