Have you ever had dress regret?

Lynnie, on May 21, 2019 at 11:05 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 151

Having cold feet about your wedding dress decision is really common!! Continuing to browse and to "see what else is out there" can be a slippery slope, but if you've truly fallen out of love with your dress we definitely recommend calling an audible!

Are you innocent or guilty of having dress regret? If you're guilty - how did you deal with it?

No, but I was motivated from the very beginning to lose weight so I could look my best in it

Definitely between the time I ordered it and got to try it on again. But as soon as I tried it on again I fell back in love! Lol.

Too soon to tell, i love my dress but I know I also have a ways till my wedding. I'm sure I might at some point but I'm not too worried about it.

Guilty-ish? I'm just not a dress person and knew I wouldn't have that "bridal moment" which is fine but that 5 months waiting for my dress to come in had me all kinds confused with how I felt about it. Turns out I still loved it when it came in.

I've not purchased a dress yet, so I'd say no to this.

Guilty. I like my dress enough. Honestly, I don't like many bridal gowns.

Innocent! It took me 6 shopping trips to find it and I rated all prior dresses from hated it to 'oh, its ok'. When I tried my dress on at my 5th apt it was the 2nd dress that day and I was like wowed! I absolutely fell in love with it. I've been confused as to how women have dress regret. When you find the one, just stop looking. At least that's what I did, and I don't even want to look. However, I do try to come up with excuses to put it on though lol

Bought my dress way too early- I knew I was but I had wanted MoHs to be a part of process, and they moved far away last summer. Now I'm really starting to regret it. It just feels so blah, it's not really special or elegant or anything. I hate being 'that bride' though. Not sure what I'll do.

Nope! I love my dress. I have one in mind that I loved but told myself not to get my hopes up because you never know. I tried it on first and I loved it. But.... as I tried on more there was another one that stood out and I kept going back to it. We narrowed it down to the first one I tried on and then the other and I tried the first one on again and all I could think about was getting back into the other one so that’s when I knew!!! And they are adding a whole layer of sparkle tool underneath which is exactly what it needs to be just a little bit more me 😂🥰 I seriously love it so much! And I even liked a veil which I was so dead set on not wearing. And now I am super motivated to lose weight so I can feel even more beautiful (not that you need to lose weight to feel beautiful, just a personal choice and something I need to do regardless)

Who cares if your “that bride”! You’re not the first and last person to feel that way! I feel like you’ll regret wearing something you’re not totally in love with more than you will regret being that bride. Go find one that you totally love!

Guilty - found my dream dress but it was way over my budget (the consultant brought out a dress.) I tried it on, not really knowing the price, I fell in love with it. We all cried. In the end I had to say no. I found one at another place for much cheaper but I think I said yes cause I just wanted it over with. I'm still trying to love it but I think I just bought it too early. But I'm still learning to deal with my decision lol

I haven’t bought a dress yet. My mom keeps asking if I regret not getting the dress they all loved at the first boutique we went to, but I really don’t think about it until she brings it up.

Guilty. But the feeling passes. I picked a dress two months ago and have another 2 month until I see it again. I keep looking at the pics we took of me in the dress and I love it but what if I don't like it when I see it. Everyone convinced me to go sleeveless when I was looking for a sleeved dress the entire time. But I went totally against what I thought I wanted. Hope it all works out.

Super guilty. I got swept up in the moment at the bridal salon and ended up with something not really me. Now trying to figure out how to exchange or sell it.

Yes. I gave it a week and chilled out. Hopefully I'll still like it when it comes in.

Guilty - shortly after I bought it, I kept seeing dresses on my Instagram feed and would question it. Once my dress came in though and I was able to try it on again after 6+ months of not seeing it, it definitely put my mind at ease!
