Have any of you ever forgotten to wear your engagement ring?

I am newly engaged(just a few weeks) but i look at my ring at least 30 times a day. i take it off for showers and dishes. I had to leave it at home monday when i went in for surgery and the first thing i did when i came home in a sedated stupor was put my ring back on. My FH made me take it off though because i was really swollen from surgery. I haven't forgotten it yet.

Every once in awhile when im doing the dishes i put my ring in the cabinet with the glasses. And then the next morning when im at work like damn hope i get home before he does lol

I pretty much never take it off unless I'm doing something like making cookie dough with my hands or something. It's really really rare that I take it off, and when I do, I always put it in the box it came in to be extra safe. However, I am just like Analy. I've forgotten it in the cleaning solution twice. Once I only left for the store, so it wasn't a big deal because I was home within ten minutes, but the other time it was when I left in the morning for the whole day. I freaked out and called FH to go by and take it out. I was paranoid it'd be bad for it. He was nice about it, but I could tell he was thinking I was so irresponsible for doing that. I think the men are protective of their investment. I can't blame him!

I only take mine off when using hamburger. otherwise it stays on .

If I forget to grab gloves before I head out to deliver the mail, I will take my rings off and throw them in my wallet. Sometimes I forget to put them back on. I didnt wear it for 2 days because I left my wallet in the car and was sick in bed. FH kept telling me he would get it but never did. One time I put them in my pocket and thought I lost them. One fell out on the floor and the other in the mail truck. Good thing I got called in the next day.

Yup! Thats why I try to keep it on unless I am really doing something like using harsh chemicals that shouldnt be on a ring. I use to take it off at night but I always went to work without it!

I forgot to wear it the other night when I was having drinks with one of my BMs--no big deal. I mean, I feel a little naked without it, but FH wouldn't call to complain if he noticed. :p



@ladylee: In addition to not sleeping well in jewelry, I don't wear my ring when I sleep because I'm worried I'll stain it with my hair. I've got a fresh dye job right now (only been shampooed once), and it stains my pillowcase and frequently my left hand, because when I sleep I often end up with that hand tucked under my head! I don't know if traditional ring cleaners would take Special Effects Atomic Pink & Cherry Bomb off white gold, topaz, and ruby, and I don't want to have to find out. :p

If I don 't keep mine on all the time then I would definitely forget a lot. Although in the summer time my fingers swell so I may not be wearing it at all this summer!
