Halloween Weekend Wedding

Mia, on March 23, 2021 at 12:20 AM Posted in Style and Décor 5 53

Hi! We originally had our wedding planned for August 2021 but the venue cancelled all events this year due to COVID-19. We rescheduled to October 2022 with the same venue because it's our dream venue. Our original plan was a classic, timeless wedding but now that we have a second go at it, we decided to not care so much about what others think and just do us! That's why we picked Halloween weekend. I want it to be classy/sophisticated but still have elements of Halloween (aka no costumes but may do cool masquerade masks or mini pumpkins painted w our date as a favor?). I was thinking wooden chairs and tables, terracotta/rust table runners, black plates w gold accents like silverware and vases. Floral photo inspo below. Any other suggestions and ideas are welcome! Having trouble nailing down a solid vision and am worried about it being too orange + black.

Oooh I’d love to go to a Halloween wedding! Go as all out as you want. Here are a few pics more in line with the “hint of Halloween” you mentioned:

Congrats!!!! And your ideas look great. We had a similar situation... postponed from 10/10/20 to 10/30/21. Since our “perfect 10” date was no longer happening, we went with something fun. But we’re keeping all of our original plans since it’s not actually a “halloween” theme. But our original plans work well for our new date because our venue is a bit unconventional for weddings. It’s a former club made to resemble a 1920’s/1930’s speakeasy lounge with all vintage decor and has 3 main areas (we’re using for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception). But with the new date I’m incorporating a few mini white pumpkins. But that’s about all. 🤔 Lol. Best wishes!!!

I love this idea because I love Halloween. My Halloween style is scary movies rather than fun costumes. What is yours? I think the two lend themselves to slightly different aesthetics

I thought about a Halloween wedding, my FH and I are getting married 10/30/2022! I love the color ideas you have for it!! My favorite when picking colors was black and burgundy. But we decided to just have a super fall wedding with burgundy, pinks, oranges, peaches and cream. I honestly wouldn’t give favors with your wedding date. Favors often get left behind, go for something edible so it doesn’t go to waste or just don’t do them at all. But you could do mini pumpkins as place/escort cards to people know where to sit .Halloween Weekend Wedding 5

The mini pumpkins as place cards is a fantastic idea! I can envision your theme & it looks beautiful! What color will your bridesmaids be wearing?

This was my inspiration! Rather than orange black, we’re doing burgundy black with a mix of fall/jewel tones.

We are getting married on Halloween weekend too and we chose plum, black, and gold as our color scheme. Heavy on the black though with a bit of purple. We are steering away from pumpkins but lots of skulls and bats. Halloween is a great time to get married but unfortunately, it's REALLY easy to cross that line into cliche territory. The first image with the teapot is actually one of my center pieces.

This is what I’m doing too! Hallow-wedding but more like a classy timeless vintage romance. No pumpkins allowed lol. Doing a til death do us part theme. Deep wines/terracotta as a color theme. Halloween Weekend Wedding 10

My colors a Burgundy and Gold. And we're using sunflowers and roses. And we're doing fall decorations, no halloween stuff. Mostly cause its a church wedding and Halloween and church don't really go together lol

We are getting married Halloween this year. We’re having a mainly Tim Burton themed wedding, I will be sally from NB4xmas my maid of honor will be alice from Alice in wonderland, my brides maids have chosen beetlejuice, Batman, the other mother from coraline (I know it’s not Tim burton) and then my sister has yet to choose. And then Shawn is going to be Jack, his best man is going to be the mad hatter, and then the rest of his groomsmen will decide which characters from the above listed movies they would like to be. We have some not tim burton elements because of what they mean to us, such as the bridesmaid doing the coraline movie(she’s been one of my best friends since high school and she was the first to actually propose to me (even tho it wasn’t a real one) and then the invites will be done up like the 1994 film the crow, it is one of our favorite movies RIP Brandon Lee. (Also our relationship in a way reminds me of Eric and Shelly’s love in the movie.) and then I believe the song I’ll be waking down the aisle to is the Zelda theme song chosen by Shawn. Each table will have a centerpiece themed around one of the movies Burton either directed or produced and will have a quote from each movie. We’re not going to do seating charts though. Decorating will be done with Halloween store items. Costumes are very much encouraged but not forced. Our cake will be a 3-4 tiered cake the top tiere will be the cake topper which will be the hill scene with Jack and sally from the nb4mas. Then the other tiers will be themed around 2-3 other
Movies from Tim burton. Halloween Weekend Wedding 12

Hey! Our wedding is 10/30/21 and we wanted to go Halloween without the obvious! So we decided to envision “gothic romantic”. Our colors are steel blue/burgundy/black/white. Blue thistle will be the only blue floral. And then deep red flowers, along with the black and white. I was thinking masquerade and even Halloween masks for the photo booth. We might add velvet or copper colored mini pumpkins as decor. Hope this helps get you more inspired!

We are doing a Halloween wedding as well, was not our original pick but since we've been planning it, it feels pretty perfect for us. We have been trying to go for classy with hints of Halloween and Fall (our favorite season). Complication is we both live in Miami and so it's going to be a beachy wedding. We couldn't go all Fall because that wouldn't really be authentic but we've been keeping it playful with a "Til Death" theme. Even incorporated Edgar Allen Poe quotes throughout our website. Our colors will be burgundy and ivory with splashes of orange and Tiffany blue.Halloween Weekend Wedding 15

We were supposed to have our wedding 10/31/2020 (my husband and I are huge Halloween people) but obviously covid had other ideas. We got married, but postponed the wedding celebration to 10/30/2021. We're going for black, purple, silver, and some pops of orange. We are going all out on the Halloween aspect with spooky decorations (glowing potion bottles, black roses, a dark grimoire as our guestbook, etc.) and the event will be a costume party. Not very traditional, but neither are we!

I begged my fiancé to have our wedding on Halloween! I’m big on Halloween but he isn’t a huge fan so we settled for 10/29/21. Were adding some hints of Halloween but mostly fall theme. The colors we’re doing are burgundy, cinnamon/burnt orange, and gold. I love your idea of the small pumpkins for favors! We’re going to have pumpkins line the aisle instead of traditional flowers. You could also do deep purples/reds! You could also make some diy signs that are Halloween themed!

My fiancé and I are getting married October 30th this year and we both love Halloween. We chose to keep our colors simple and do black and white with tons of dark greenery and antique gold accents. I'm planning to buy some small pumpkins and paint them an antique gold color to place around on the tables to incorporate some Halloween vibes. My bridesmaid will also be in black and I'm wanting our cake to look very similar to the one in the image below but I want one tier (we're doing cupcakes for guests) with gold foil/paint strokes around it. Our invites and save the dates are white with black ink and we'll have dark green envelopes with a gold wax seal.

My sister-in-law is actually going to help me do these pumpkin table cards for my Oct. 30th wedding! Only difference is we are going to spray paint them moody fall colors or maybe just metallic copper and gold. I love how they can serve as both a table card AND a favor.

My wedding is the same date and we are going for a very similar style. Our colors are hunter green/emerald, cobalt blue, plum, marigold/burnt oranges, and deep reds. I love your idea for the photo booth!
