Hi! We originally had our wedding planned for August 2021 but the venue cancelled all events this year due to COVID-19. We rescheduled to October 2022 with the same venue because it's our dream venue. Our original plan was a classic, timeless wedding but now that we have a second go at it, we decided to not care so much about what others think and just do us! That's why we picked Halloween weekend. I want it to be classy/sophisticated but still have elements of Halloween (aka no costumes but may do cool masquerade masks or mini pumpkins painted w our date as a favor?). I was thinking wooden chairs and tables, terracotta/rust table runners, black plates w gold accents like silverware and vases. Floral photo inspo below. Any other suggestions and ideas are welcome! Having trouble nailing down a solid vision and am worried about it being too orange + black.

This is my inspiration for my halloween weekend, fall wedding! I have always wanted a gothic wedding but I am taming it down so that it is more colorful and merely "moody"

My venue is requiring us to rent chairs for our outdoor ceremony so we have decided on some dark wood Chiavari chairs. Since we are already spending extra on them, we are also going to use them for the reception! The rental company offers seat cushions with the price of the chair in different colors (I haven't decided on what color yet lol) and it is a less expensive way to incorporate some wood elements without renting all the tables for the reception. For that we are using black tablecloths which are venue does not charge extra for.

This is also my inspiration pic. We're getting married 10/29. We're not necessarily doing Halloween theme because I'm afraid it could get tacky quick, but more of a moody feel. Colors are black, burgundy, with a gold accent. I'm getting a black dress custom made. I love Halloween but I was afraid If I made a Halloween themed wedding people would show up in costumes.

We went all in. We chose deep jewel tone velvet dresses for the bridesmaids and dried flowers for the bouquets. Costumes are encouraged and will include a trick-or treat scavenger hunt for adults and kiddos. Table decor will be different arrangements of pumpkins, dried flowers, and old book pages. You can totally do a classy Halloween wedding! We also had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. Original date was April 4, 2020; new date is October 23, 2021. We really wanted a Saturday, but our venue didn't have many left, not only from rescheduling but from people who'd scheduled 2021 dates pre-pandemic. We initially wanted August, but their only Saturdays available were the 7th, which is my sister and maid of honor's birthday, or the 14th, which is my fiance's sister's birthday. We really don't want to share our wedding anniversary with someone else's day. The only Saturday the venue had in September was the 11th, and well, that should be self-explanatory. That then led us to October. Their only Saturdays for October were the 23rd or the 30th. We went with the 23rd mainly because we didn't want to encroach on anyone else's Halloween plans, plus it's the day after my fiance's birthday. Smiley smile Anyway, our main theme is movies, but we also hope to incorporate elements of fall because it's our favorite season. I'm sure you'll come up with something beautiful, and you have plenty of time to get it all sorted out. Good luck!

Oh wow this is beautiful! I’m getting married Halloween weekend as well and never thought to incorporate Halloween minus a rusty color as one of the bridesmaids dresses.

We're getting married this Halloween. Our colours are burnt orange, wine, and chocolate. We're using different horror movies to mark the tables and I'm making Lament puzzle boxes to hold the favours in.

We are actually eloping to Salem, Massachusetts ON Halloween. Very exciting!

Colors are black, ivory, varying shades of deep reds, plum, copper. I'm going for a rock n' roll/glam/romantic day.

My dress is a pretty sexy mermaid with a dramatic train. Going for a braided mohawk hairstyle, custom leather jacket, personalized Vans for both of us, and the string duet for our ceremony will also be making an arrangement for our first dance - "Zombie" by the Cranberries Smiley smile

It's just the two of us but honestly I think that makes the day more romantic. We get to spend the weekend doing all kinds of fun things around Salem and get married. It's a win-win!

Ours is 10/30/21 and I am a HUGE Halloween hair/makeup person and all of our guests know it and have been asking if/how I will incorporate it! However, my wedding style and vision are classic and elegant. We're having a country club wedding with white florals and french blue bridesmaid dresses. I have been trying to get creative without being tacky but I'm having a REALLY hard time b/c this is not at all a Halloween-themed wedding in any sense.

    Some ideas I had...

    - floating ornate gold antique frames clustered together as a photo op with gold candelabras

    - doing favors as halloween costume accessories with our monogram logo (witch's hat, masquerade mask, cowboy hats, top hats, etc.)

    - (in a dream world) I'd have a makeup artist quickly throw some dead bride makeup on me for our send-off. But even that may be too edgy for my classic wedding vision... and my family would kill me. The alternative is to get back to the hotel after the reception and have a dead bride dress ready and have hair & makeup there to transform me for hitting the bars that night.

That's a good point. I feel like there was a time when I felt favors were "necessary" but I agree. and perhaps the pumpkins as placards could double as meeting the theme and a mini favor? thanks so much!

I am getting married on 10/30/21! Halloween is absolutely my favorite Holiday and fall is my favorite time of year. We're planning to have a fun, Halloween, costume brunch the next morning, but the wedding itself won't be particularly Halloween-oriented. Our colors are like a dark green and rust orange color. But it's more foresty than spooky.

I am considering a Halloween wedding as well, but I also want some elegance to it. Try doing some fall themed and add little Halloween details as you see fit. I like the idea of a trick or treat sweets table, black and white long striped line for the aisle, a fog machine, playing with black lace details and special pumpkin carvings. I'm considering also some photo props like black victorian frames. I'm considering a masquerade hour to go with Halloween music.. good luckHalloween Weekend Wedding 9

I think you can still make it elegant playing up the Halloween theme!! Use rich tones, like a deep burgundy, rust orange, mustard yellow and accent with some sage green maybe.
