Guests forgetting wedding favors

Now, someone already just posted what you guys are doing for wedding favors. My question is to people who have been at weddings or already had their wedding, how many actually forget to take them? Now, someone already just posted what you guys are doing for wedding favors. My question is to people who have been at weddings or already had their wedding, how many actually forget to take them? I have a really cute idea for wedding favors: Pint glass with our names, date, and an old vintage man and woman picture on there. It's about $1.50 a glass and I'm having about 120 give or take guests. Side note: the majority of people at our wedding will be in their late night 20s and the wedding will end at 1am. Do a lot of people forget to take them? Who has a story because I would love to hear about it!

I wouldn't want a glass with someone else's name and wedding date on it. I HATE having mismatched stuff anyway, and unless you're my sister I don't really care about your wedding date enough to have it in my house. My FSIL had koozies at her wedding, that I didn't mind because it's just a koozie, who cares what it says.

At a bridal shower I got a wine glass with my initial on it and a gold bottom. I use it every time I drink champs...like 3 times a week. I love it. I probably wouldn't if it had someone else's name on it.

EW, I usually eat my edible favor as soon as I get it. Isn't that the point?

We did bottle openers that doubled as placecards, only two were left, so I'm guessing people liked them. Besides koozies and candles, I don't think I'd want anything with someone elses name at home, we don't even have anything with our names at home.

I also always leave favors unless I'm forced to take them. I despise knickknacks.

However one favor I adore are photobooth printouts. I have one strip with FH and I and one with some of my best friends. Yes they have the bride and groom's named on them and their wedding date but I still love them. We're going to do a photobooth as well and that'll be our favors.

@Sengele- usually I'm full from appetizers, dinner and cake. I don't want candy after all that. I have not attended many weddings where people ate the favors right then and there.

Haven't read any comments but did read your question.

I don't take favors at weddings and we are not having them. As much as I love my friends and family, I really don't want something that has their names and wedding dates on it. I don't have time to do favors.

It isn't that I'm heartless or don't care; I just don't like "stuff" and someone else's idea of "stuff" doesn't usually fit mine. Totally cool when others have them but I'm leaving mine behind.

ETA: I eat edible favors at the wedding or I don't take them.

The last wedding I went to had personalised glasses per couple, oops, ours got forgotten. I don't care when and where you were married, and I don't need any more glassware.

Lol, our guests actually asked if we had extras at our engagement brunch. We have mini honey jars with custom labels.

We did organic chapsticks and we had less than 5 left on tables, and we had extras made that guests could take if they wanted and they took all of those. I was expecting people to leave them behind and was ok with it because I can always use extra chapstick but was surprised when we have only a few left behind.

I think if it's something clearly valuable they won't forget it, but if it's dollar cent items which might just add to clutter I think it would be left behind. Maybe you could do a reminder at the end of the evening?

One favor I really did like was a pair of slippers for dancing! That was awesome and I took an extra pair (unused) that was left over. I forget the name of the company but it was really cute and well done.

I feel like favors are a dying tradition. I think you should save your money or use it else where.

@MNA..... where have you been all my life....I seriously need to start taking screenshots of your posts.. because the idea of getting the personalization off the glass... I had no idea it was that easy! Because, let's face it, you're a genius.... I admire all your posts!

On that note.... I guess I will no longer "forget" personalized glass items.

It's a very cute idea! But idk if anyone wants something with a couples name on it. Especially if it's not ur immediate family. I'm doing edible kisses in a present box. Cheap and yummy. Don't waste money on favors ppl might not want.

We did locally made candles and only one was "forgotten ". A guest who left early with a migraine.
