Grand Exit - Yea or Nay?

Sinéad, on November 5, 2019 at 11:05 AM

Ok, your wonderful day is coming to an end and it’s time for you and your new spouse to go! Do you have a fun exit planned? Will your guests set out your path with sparklers, bombard you with bubbles or cover you in confetti? Or will you sneak out in a more low-key way? Are you doing a grand exit?...

Are you doing a grand exit? Yea or nay??

No. We ended up going home in MOH's car with her and her husband. Sat for an hour in traffic, to boot - ah, the tunnel.

I think my parents made it back to their hotel before we got back home! And they went to an after party and we didn't! Smiley laugh

Did you use sparklers for your grand exit, or something else?

Nay. Atleast as of right now, we are planning to stay until after most of the guests leave to give us a better opportunity to say goodbye but also to make sure we know our keepsakes are packed correctly. Especially with family in from out of town, I want to make sure everyone has everything they need.

Because of where we're getting married, we can't do any of that stuff.

I don't think so. Seems like too much logistics and our photographer will be gone before the party ends.

Haven't quite decided, but leaning towards something more low key.

I am not planning on it. I plan to be the last one out on the dance floor. I'm also hoping we can stay at a cabin on the property of our reception instead of our house or the hotel, so we don't really need to leave to go anywhere.

We will be doing a grand exit with our guests lining both side of the building exit with sparklers and our getaway vehicle down the walkway.

This simply wouldn't work in our wedding. We want to see our guests off, not the other way around. Logistically it wouldn't work

We are planning to have a staged one haha! So it’s not so cluttered with people, just wedding party, close family, etc. We will have the photographers for 8 hours, so it allows us to get those pictures, without them having to stay till the end of the night.

We are doing a bubble exit from the ceremony but nothing for the reception.
