Going home VS Staying at hotel after wedding

FH and I first thought going home would be better. Now I'm wondering if we really want to drive home for around 30 minutes only to drive to the hotel the next morning for our thank you breakfast. We have a caterer coming in to provide a vegan breakfast. We spoke to the hotel manager in advance and this is okay, and they are letting us use the conference room. The morning commute is a pain and might take an additional half hour. Depending on the room it might cost $139 or $159. Our wedding will end at 10. I know if anyone still feels lively we could hang out at the hotel after for a bit since they have an outdoor patio with a lovely fireplace. Would you recommend going home or staying at the hotel?

I'd do the hotel! FH and I will wed close to home but are opting for a hotel. I think it will be nicer because it will be clean. I know if there's any form of mess in my house, like dishes in the sink, the bed is unmade, laundry needs folded... Whatever, it will bother me and I'd rather spend my wedding night somewhere nice and tidy where I don't have to worry! I keep things neat, but I'm just worried in the last few days before the wedding that I'll not have time to clean up the house and will be messing it up doing projects.

Hotel!! We're getting married about 10 miles from home and are not leaving for our honeymoon until a few days later, but are staying in a hotel our wedding night. Like mentioned... it's clean, complimentary breakfast w/your family/friends). HOTEL!

We had a whole wedding weekend leading to Christmas. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (12/22-12:25) and I wouldn't have done it any other way. I would've stayed longer if it was possible!

Like everyone else... I say hotel! Why drive to another destination that late only to have to return in the morning?

Definitely stayyyyy at the hotel. Imagine the comfort of just walking back to your room vs getting in a car and driving home!

We are coming home. We have two dogs and we didn't want to put them in boarding for the night. Plus this way they can have some fresh cake with us!

I would stay at the hotel for sure. You will be exhausted at the end of the night. I would not want to have to drive home then get up early to drive back.
