Friday Weddings

I haven't gotten that many declines and mine is during the day on Friday. It's cheaper than a Saturday wedding for sure.

We're actually getting way more accepts with pleasure responses than declines for our Friday wedding. We are saving money too!

We had a Friday wedding. It wasn't any cheaper than a Saturday would have been. We didn't get any declines due to the day and we didn't have anyone come late. We started at 5.

I'm having a Friday wedding 10/13/2017. It's cheaper and everyone is making a weekend of it. Helps that we are having a Disney wedding so we can play in the parks the day after with family ??

We have a Friday wedding and we got very few declines.

We are having a Friday wedding and people are not mad about it when they realize it's a Friday. It did not make it any cheaper for us though.

I think it depends on where the majority of your guests live. Will they be traveling from OOT? Like others have said, for local people, expect that some will arrive late My MOH's was on a Friday out of town and she had between 40-50% of the guests decline. It also was a bit of a pain for the guests because people had to take 2-3 days (min.) off from work to travel to the venue. Pricing ended up being about the same, had she had it on a Saturday... except for HMUA, which were cheaper.

I'd say it's largely dependent on your crowd and attendance expectations.

We're doing it because it saves money and we want more of a party vibe than say a Sunday wedding! As long as you don't have a lot of OOT guests and start later, I don't see the issue!

My wedding is on a Friday!

We are having a Friday wedding! I have been to others and we didn't think it would be a problem. May have a few people not show for the ceremony but hopefully they can all make it. Starts at 6pm

Like LibraryBelle said, I think it heavily depends on where most of your guests will be coming from. If I had to take off on a Thursday for travel I would probably have to decline the invite depending on how close I am to the person. Other than that you should be golden!

My niece is having hers at 4 pm on a Friday, and I am just taking the day off.

If you're looking for a party vibe, Saturday > Friday > Sunday. I know I'm more willing to let loose at the end of the workweek than the night before it starts.

We're looking at Thursday or Friday evening wedding. In our area it's cheaper by $**** to have a wedding on Thursday or Friday.. we're also having a small guest list, about 30 invites.

Friday weddings are totally doable. You will have some declines for sure but that's true any day of the week!

We're doing a Friday wedding a plus at our venue is they only have one wedding on Fridays but Saturdays they have multiple, and it's cheaper so why not!
