I'm getting married on a Friday already sent out invites and haven't received a NO yet !! Friday's are very popular where I'm from.

Friday's are very popular. I say go for it.

My wedding is NEXT Friday(!!!) and we got what seemed to be a pretty average number of declines, not an extraordinarily high amount. We love it because we will be staying at the hotel all weekend to spend time with our OOT guests before leaving for our honeymoon the following Tuesday!

Friday weddings are awesome! We are having a Friday wedding, mainly bc we wanted to save money- no shame here. It saved us thousands of dollars.

Friday weddings are the new Saturday's bc its technically the weekend or better stated it enables guests to get an early start on their weekend. Friday weddings are usually held in the evening so many guests don't even need to take the day off from work. Although, some do, while others take 1/2 day off. The most important thing is to give your guests ample time to plan so be sure to send out Save the Dates or somehow let people know ahead of time that the wedding is a Friday. Bottom line: those who want to attend your wedding will attend regardless of what day of the week/weekend you host it.

Friday weddings are Friday weddings. They aren't terrible but as a guest if you have to travel that means two days off work. If you are local that is a half day or being rushed and not enjoying getting ready for the wedding. As someone who only gets 9 vacation days per year, I much prefer Saturday weddings. As a close friend, I will still go to a Friday wedding.

Also, I find it hard to stay up late on a Friday after working but on a Saturday I am ready to gooo.

So many vendors offer discounts on Fridays and Sundays - I think it is a great idea! We were strongly considering one of those days until we found our awesome venue (Duke Art Gallery with Jeffrey Miller Catering) within our budget on a Saturday. We happen to have most of our guests coming in from out of town so we went with the Saturday date to accommodate them since it was still within budget.

I'm doing a 4:30 pm ceremony on a Friday and very pleased with the idea. It's over a 3 day weekend so we're going to be celebrating all weekend and having tons of people coming in town for it so it worked perfectly!
