Friday wedding brides!

I'm a Friday bride!

We got engaged on Christmas and already had our perfect venue in mind. We wanted the fall so when we called they had two October dates, the 20th (Friday) or the 28th(Saturday, but also my birthday) so we went with the 20th. The venue alone was 1000 dollars cheaper so that helped!

FH and I are from different states so we picked somewhere kind of in between. Everyone has to travel at least an hour so even with a Saturday wedding, most would come Friday. All of our VIPs were fine with taking the day off. I think as long as your VIPs are okay with it, you're fine.

Our daughters wedding is on Friday 11/16/18. We also chose Friday because everything is less on a Friday night....vendors, venue, hotel blocks. Also, this way people have the weekend too. Most of our guests are all local, so travel plans are easy. Also, this was the only Friday left that month with only one Saturday.

Morning, my wedding is also a Friday. It's not also cheaper your guests still have thier weekend enjoy.

We chose Friday to ensure we had the funds to throw the type of wedding we wanted. As a guest I've always preferred Friday weddings over Sunday ones, so I knew if we couldn't afford our venue's Saturday cost we would switch to Friday. It starts in the evening for those that work, and most are local. Also this gives me the freedom to come in and set up the venue whenever I want the week of, since no one is before me. I'm probably going to take care of it all Tuesday or Wednesday.

We liked the day! And I wanted a Friday wedding because your saving some money and after my wedding people are gunna need the weekend off haha. My ceremony starts at 6:30pm so if anyone wanted to work in the morning they can.

I'm a Friday bride! Our ceremony is also at 5 pm.

Our venue is in a public beach/park, and there is a carousel inside the building. We chose Friday for a few reasons:

1. No 2017 Saturdays were left available when we booked in March 2016

2. The carousel is open to the public from 9-12 pm on weekends so we wouldn't be able to get in the building until afternoon on Saturday. Since we chose Friday we have the venue from 7 am-midnight now.

3. There would be a LOT more people on the beach/park on Saturday then Friday.

4. It was cheaper!

Easy decision in my opinion. I'm super excited!

We are having a Friday wedding at 6:30pm. It was definitely cheaper for us and our venue had a minimum guest list of 150 people for a Saturday wedding which doesn't apply on Fridays. We are only inviting 100 people so that helped make up our mind. The last few weddings we have been to have been Fridays. My FH's side has a few out of town relatives coming and they all made plans to hang out all weekend so it worked out perfectly.

We wanted to be married on the 16th- which happened to be a Friday- and the date was available.

You just have to make sure all the people know about traffic and can get there early. It's nice b/c then you have the weekend to manage getting ready to leave or returning suit rentals or whatever.

We're getting married on a Friday. Our venue hosts a lot of other events besides weddings during the weekends and FH definitely wanted an April wedding so we picked a day that they felt comfortable not booking anything else on. We're planning on returning all of our rentals on Saturday and then we're leaving for the honeymoon on Sunday.

For rentals we are having someone else return the Tuxs and cake stands since we are leaving for our honeymoon the next morning. We have the venue till midnight so I will be very tired the next morning.

@OP my reasons are very much the same as yours. We wanted to get in and decorate that morning without a time crunch because of another event. It helps that the venue is $10 cheaper per person on a Friday!

We are getting married in the summer because it is the slow time for both of our industries. I feel like most people can be a little more flexible in the summer than other times of the year if they have to leave work a little early to get ready for our wedding.

We do Fridays every weekend in season; in fact, this week, we both have two Friday morning weddings! I think there is a great vibe to them, and frankly, Saturdays in our more popular venues are sold out two years ahead (keep in mind that most venues don't JUST do weddings; they do sweet sixteens, graduations, bar/bat mitzvahs and all kinds of things.....)

mostly because the venue we wanted had no saturdays available in the 4 months we gave them as a choice, and because it was $20pp cheaper. At first I was very adamant against a friday, but if I wanted our venue, that was my only choice.

Ceremony starts at 6pm.

We are also doing Friday! First cause it is cheaper, second my FH likes the numbers lol 11+8=19 lol silly I know but its the most ive gotten out of him so far so I will take it lol! Besides I love the idea of being able to party all night and not worry about work for 3 more days! It happens to be veterans day so most people we know will have a 3 day weekend and we wont be interrupting any plans if they want to do things with their families!

We are having a 2pm ceremony, 2:30 cocktail hour, Dinner at 4, reception ends at 8(we have lots of guests who wouldn't make it later lol) then after party for whoever wants to hang at the bars in Patriot Place so no driving needed, Then for anyone using our room blocks will be served/invited to Saturday morning brunch with us paid for by US!!

Friday wedding for us as well. It wasn't any less expensive for us, however the majority of our guests are flying up to Alaska for our wedding so we wanted to maximize our time with our guests. We will have Saturday to spend with them and then we leave on Sunday for our honeymoon.

Also Friday here! We wanted to have a smallish guest list, and the venue we loved had a significant guest minimum for Saturdays...plus, I like that our guests still have the whole weekend to do what they want with a Friday wedding.

Also a Friday bride. We chose the date because its our five year dating anniversay and FH refused any other day besides that (thank god it didn't fall on a Monday.. lol) We also are saving money AND we get to set up at the venue for four hours the evening before as compared to Saturday where they can't because of the Friday weddings. I also love that we and our guests still have their whole weekend.

Friday Night Wedding!

We knew we wanted to have a spring wedding and when we got engaged in Dec 2015 there were only 2 Fridays and no Saturdays left in April/May. The other Friday was Good Friday (Friday before Easter) and we didn't want that so we chose the other! I also chose Friday for the flexibility and that there would be no other weddings to worry about before or after ours! and this way we have the weekend to relax after the wedding!

ETA: I forgot a 20% discount for having a Friday wedding in April!

Hey, Friday wedding here. I choose it because its cheaper than a Saturday, yet still the weekend. Thus, unlikely to inconvenience my guests anymore than a Saturday wedding bc we are having a late ceremony 6:30pm.
