What time is your ceremony and reception? We are getting married on a Friday and have yet to figure out a good time (ceremony and reception will be at the same place). I would like to take pictures in an area about 10 minutes from the venue, but dont want for my guests to feel like the day is...

My ceremony is at 5pm and reception is at 8:30pm because it's a different location that is about a 45min drive away.

My ceremony is at 3, cocktail hour at 4, reception at 5. I figured, if folks have to take the day off anyway - may as well make it early enough to have a real party for reception! Take our time ! (my venue will let us stay as long as we are buying drinks, lol)

Our wedding and reception are at the same place on a Friday. The ceremony will start at 5:00 and last about 20 minutes. We will have a cocktail hour, during which we will take sunset pictures, until 6:30. Then the reception will start.

Ours will be at 4:30 pm! We're getting married in November and want to take advantage of natural light.

Our wedding is on a Friday & it’s at 5:10pm (our anniversary is May (5) 10. My fiancé was adamant about having it at that time. 😉💕

Ceremony starts at 6 PM for us. The cocktail hour and reception are in the same venue so our whole wedding won't end until 11:30 PM. I felt like anything passed midnight is too late.

Our ceremony will be at 5:30 in the evening. The ceremony and reception will be at the same venue and we’re doing a first look.
Many choice you make is the right choice for you.

Ours is starting at 4, social hour at 5, dinner at 6 and we a vending it all at 1030. There is a restaurant/bar above our banquet hall so if anyone wants to stay, they can. Then a $10 uber ride to the hotel. I'm very excited!! #October11thBride

Our ceremony starts st 6pm on a Friday. The venue recommended that we start at this time so that gave guests time to get off work, get dressed and arrive on time. My family likes to party so our wedding is going until 11:30pm.

We picked a time to coordinate with sunset in September. So 5:30 start time, but debated 5. Sunset photos during cocktail hour around 6:40. Same venue.

    Friday bride here:

Our venue opens to vendors @ 2:30pm.
We're arriving at 3:30pm to begin pictures.
    Ceremony @ 5:30pm
    Cocktail hour @ 6:00pm
    Dinner @ 7:00pm
    Conclusion: 10:00-11:00

    ------
I'm almost 40 and this will be my second wedding. My first wedding took place when I was in my early twenties, so I have experience doing this. And there's one thing I've been telling brides for almost 20 years now:
    Take your pictures beforehand.
You can still get your FH's first look with some amazing locations before the ceremony. You can get all those wedding party photos done while everyone is super fresh.
But the most important thing of all: your guests won't be waiting around for too long.

    Good luck!

I'm happy to see so many other Friday brides!! Smiley smile -- Our ceremony is starting at 3:30 with a 1 hour cocktail hour to follow and then the reception after that, all at the same location. I don't think you'll have an issue with the day feeling like it's dragging to your guests if you go off site for pictures....just make sure you have some great finger foods & drinks! I'd try to stick to only 1 - 1 1/2 hour(s) for it though.

    November 2019 bride here!

Our ceremony starts at 4:00 on a Friday. Sunset on that day is going to be around 4:45 so we wanted to make sure we got some good pictures in before it got too dark. Cocktail hour is from 4:30-5:30 and the reception starts at 5:30. Same location for ceremony & reception.

We're having a private ceremony at 4:30PM with immediate family. Our reception will start at 5:30PM. We have the convenience of having both the ceremony and reception at the same venue.
