Our ceremony starts at 4pm! Our wedding is in December so we had to move it up to 4pm to have enough light after the ceremony for photos before the reception.

Our ceremony is starting at 5:30, with a really short cocktail hour (like 30-45 minutes), and then the reception following. Everything is at the same venue. We're doing the majority of our photos beforehand, because it'll be winter and dark outside by 5:30. We'll have just family photos left to do after the ceremony.

Our ceremony is at 5, a short cocktail “hour” right after and dinner will start around 6. Ceremony and reception at the same place. We plan to do all of our photos before the ceremony except for a few of just my fiancé and me at sunset.

Our ceremony is on Friday at 5:00 PM in the same room as our reception at The Odyssey in Tinley Park, IL. We decided to go with my photographers suggestion. I didn’t want my fiancé to see me before the wedding because I wanted that special moment. But pictures would delay the reception a really long time. So we’re doing a “first look” photo session and then the bridal party photos before the ceremony. Then the ceremony will be at 5 PM. We’ll take our “Just Married!” Photos right after the ceremony. There will be much fewer photos to take while people wait this way. Then we’ll get announced into the reception. If your in the area, talk to JROwenCo (the photographer I chose). Or you can even just look on their website. I’m pretty sure the first look pictures are on there.

    I hope this helps!

I'm getting married on a Friday (10-4-19) and our ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. Our photographer recommended this time due to the beautiful sunsets that time of year. Our pictures will be at the venue we are getting married, so I'm hoping the guests won't feel like it's dragging on too much. Smiley smile

We are getting married on a Friday...ceremony at 630, cocktail hour 7-8 and reception 8-1230. It’s in October so we know people will be at work and kids at school so we tried to be mindful of that and everyone that’s coming from a different city/state and wanted to give them plenty of time. Both will be at the hotel we are getting married at so it will be nice and simple and easy.

Our Friday wedding starts at 5:30. We are getting married in late October so I wanted to make sure our time line also allowed us to get pixies outside before the sun went down. This way we can do our first look outside and the. Possibly get some sun set pictures right after the ceremony depending on the weather.

We are having our ceremony at 4pm (ceremony and reception at same location) we will have cocktail hour from about 430-530 and reception after that. We wanted to make sure we could get outside photos (October wedding). We will also be visiting his Dad (in a nursing home around the corner and unable to attend). We know some wont be able to make it to the ceremony and that's ok everyone so far is atleast able to make it to the reception. Everything will be wrapped up at 930pm. (As some of our guest are older and live a little ways away) giving them time to get home at a reasonable hour.

Hi there! My ceremony will start at 6 and I anticipate guest arrival around 5:30. We will be doing a first look and photos with the wedding party before the event and then dinner and dancing until midnight. Saturday I have an event in the AM and then leave for the honeymoon on Sunday!

So we are also doing Friday and planned our ceremony around when best lighting for pictures would be. (Sept 27) So with Sunset at 6:15 we opted for a 4:30 ceremony and pictures from 5-6. We factored in the fact that we are doing photos after the ceremony as we do not want to see each other before. If you are doing photos before you could opt for a much later ceremony.

Our wedding ceremony is on a rooftop at 5pm because the rental cutoff for the rooftop is 6pm. The ceremony and reception are at the same place. We'll be doing first looks before then just have some time alone, as well as get in the pictures with the wedding party. Then we'll just have family photos before cocktail hour.

My friday wedding will begin at 3 pm both ceremony and reception will be at the same place. The time for the early start and one venue is because on a friday afternoon the traffic build up is horrible and can take up to 2 hrs to get to 45 mins journey. I will be taking my official photos at a venue approximately 15 mins from the wedding venue.

I am having mine aittle later in the day about 4 pm. I am having to set up the venue by myself with not a lot of help so a later wedding for me is what work best but we are also taking a few of our photos before the wedding and then we're taking the rest of them after the wedding
