What time is your ceremony and reception? We are getting married on a Friday and have yet to figure out a good time (ceremony and reception will be at the same place). I would like to take pictures in an area about 10 minutes from the venue, but dont want for my guests to feel like the day is...

The ceremony starts at 5:30pm and should last about 30-40 minutes and we will break to do pictures and hopefully the reception starts at 6:30pm

Hello, so my ceremony starts at 530pm. We are not doing a first look so we need to do our couples pictures after the ceremony. We are keeping the ceremony to 15min max. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the same venue. So for us to be able to have time with our guests at cocktail hour we are requesting pictures of the bridal party to be done prior to the ceremony. So he will have done the pics outside with his party and I will do the same with mine. This way we only need to do couples and bridal party together. Hope this helps. Happy planing and congratulations.

I am getting married on a Friday and my ceremony is starting at 4. But I am also getting married in February so we had to consider sunset time. Our start time was recommended by our venue because they deal with those decisions all the time. My FFIL is concerned about the start time for people that can't take off work but how I see it is if people have the ability they can take off work a little early, most of our guests are local, and if not then they can show for the reception. It's funny that he is worried about it because he is retired so it's not like our start time affects him at all.
