For those who have hired a DJ... how many songs are you requesting?

Becky, on September 26, 2014 at 8:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I met with my DJ a few days ago. He saw I hadn't put any song requests in (except for like first dance, father/daughter dance, etc) and said that I should put some in there. So I went ahead and just added about 15 songs to the planning website, which the site says is about an hour of music. I am just trying to figure out if I should add even more and basically dictate almost all of the music that is going to be played, or leave some up to him as he is the "expert". I don't know if he will be annoyed if I add too many, although the system lets me add up to 25 "must play" songs. What did you do or what are you planning to do?

Haha @Future Mrs... actually that's what I was thinking at first too which is why I didn't put any in at all! But I guess he wants me to at least do some so he makes sure we like some of the songs.

I gave my DJ about 30 songs but honestly I want to dance all night and know I will with the songs I have given him.

We had less than 10, but they also gave us a sheet of probably 200 songs to mark what kind of stuff we liked and didn't, so every single song he played was something we liked.
