So I went to David's yesterday and I was so excited to try on dresses. I've been saying I'm gong to lose some weight for months since I've been engaged, but I have been really lazy. So I went to David's yesterday and I was so excited to try on dresses. I've been saying I'm gong to lose some weight for months since I've been engaged, but I have been really lazy. Not to mention I have a work from home job so I sit ALL DAY LONG. I originally thought I would wear a size 10 dress because I have big boobs and I wear a size 7 jeans. Well I try n my first dress and I won't even zip past the middle of my torso. So we get a 12 dress and it just barely zips! I was completely devastated! I ended up having to try on size 14 dresses the whole time I was there, they were saggy in the hips and stomach ares but they fit in the chest area. I just went in the changing room and cried;( I really never realized I was SO big. I found one dress that I really like but I can't get pass the weight issue, I'm seriously getting on the ball with taking control of my weight. I'll post the pic of the dress and nobody laugh because I know I looks a mess, disregard the birdcage as well.

Hun you look great! I wear an 18/20 dress usually and I ended up wearing a 22 dress at davids! Don't stress girl it isn't good for you, and again you look amazing!

Haha, to answer your butt question: yes, it will look better! Since the dress is too big down there, it doesn't show your bottom curve. Smiley winking

Now, what the heck are you talking about? You look gorgeous! Absolutely stunning. You are making me question my dress choice lady! So please! And yes, it's been said before but DB dresses run small. I have no boobs, like really, and had to try an 8 even though I am a size 6 because they couldn't zip it up. I was shocked! I tried a couple more dresses on, and eventually a size 6 and was sooooo happy until that lady broke my confidence again by saying this one had been tried on so many times that it it bigger. Thanks. Way to ruin my happy moment. Lol. Anyway, you look fantastic! Smiley smile and don't lose too much, it really is not necessary. I have the hardest time to lose weight too because I am too damn lazy. So if you wanna motivate me, I'll motivate you on return. I am really good in motivating others, but I can't do the same for me Smiley winking

You look fantastic!! I love that dress. In fact, I wore the same one at my wedding. We are dress twins!!!

Seriously don't feel bad at all about the dress being a size 14. David's Bridal sizes are so weird. All that matters is that you feel beautiful. Size is just a number.

I think once the size is right it'll hug your rear. I have a round rear and when things are too big it makes it look flat which is almost impossible! I mean, I was walking in a wal-mart parking lot once and someone yelled ghetto booty at me. There's no way it should look flat! Lol!

And if worse comes to worse, they have the butt lift spanks! Lol.

YOU ARE NOT BIG. Wedding dresses are not fit to street sizes. If you want to wear something close to street size, get a corset back dress. Using my measurements, I'd need to order a size 20, but my street size is 12. I'm top heavy too. Trying on the corset dresses I was able to wear a size 14. Keep searching for your dress. Don't be so focused on the numbers.

    Yes, formal dresses run SMALL!

I think you look GREAT - but I understand how you feel.

My FH had hip replacement surgery in April and I was feeding him (and me) A LOT of comfort food. I got my engagement photos back and I didn't recognize myself.

I took control and started Zumba July 1 of this year. Started off 2x per week - now I'm up to 5x per week. I lost 20 inches and close to 15 lbs by doing zumba and food tracking on My Fitness Pal since then!

Make it a priority and you'll get it done!

Girl you look great in that dress!! My David's Bridal dress is a size 12, Im not top heavy, I'm hips & booty heavy! The sales people said I needed a 14 because it was pulling in the hips. I was like negative, I love to workout, this gives me the motivation to get back in the gym. I've lost 7 pounds since I ordered the dress in August. I'll try it on again next month. You just gotta get busy & make time for yourself! And I tried on that dress too, you have great taste ;-)
