We are doing a blind first look. I want him to be wowed too when he sees me walking down the aisle to him. His best man and my MOH will blind fold us and we will meet before we depart to the ceremony to share a moment together before we say I do.

I want to do the first look - but I am having everything done at my house so I think the guests will possibly arrive and see us too and things may look cluttered... It doesn't seem like it will work logistically - but I am still thinking on it!

We’re keeping ours traditional. Because he asked for that but we are planning to not see each other but we will be standing on opposite sides of a door so we can pray for one another and give each other our gifts that we bought to wear on the wedding day that way we have a moment before we have to face everyone lol

Initially we decided to do a first look for our vow renewal for practical reasons, to get more pictures together without taking time away from the reception. Also, I love to dance and I wanted my hair and makeup to be at its best for those photos. Having said that, our first look ended up being one of my favorite memories of the day. The anticipation, and the intimacy of having that moment with no guests was absolutely magical. And when my husband told me I looked beautiful and I saw him tear up (the man does not cry), I knew we made the right choice. It also calmed our nerves. It is a personal choice, but I am so glad we did it. And no matter what, he will be in love when he sees you, first look or at the altar.
