Personally, I would not unless the couple requested it. Call me old-fashioned but I would not like it if someone showed up at my wedding wearing black. I mean a little is ok, like black trim or black slacks for a man but otherwise, for me it's a total faux pas.

I think a black dress suit is ok, but girl if you show up to my wedding looking like someone died I might be a bit offended

I’d say it’s fine. Glamorous! I’d veto black wedding gowns though. Those seem like funeral borderline for me

No. I think black is a classic and for any occasion! An LBD will never go out of style, and the same for a black suite!

Faux pas for me. Not that I'm traditional or believe in the superstition that it brings bad luck, I just feel like the only guests attending that would wear black are the girls who are trying to be sexy.

My sister's colors were black and fuschia. My other sister had everyone wear white to her wedding. In many Asian countries, (many of my family are Buddhist), wearing white is funeral attire so when she got married in Thailand they were confused lol.

Nah. Black dresses are great. Just avoid white dresses.

Black is formal. I think it's fine to wear wherever you want, always an appropriate color.

But I never wear black to funerals.

Wearing black to a wedding is acceptable. It's considered a formal/neutral color.
