Faqs About Your Postponed Wedding

Future Mrs. B, on March 30, 2020 at 4:56 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

Hi Friends,

I am updating my wedding website with postponement updates and was wondering what are some of the frequently asked questions that you guys are getting that also have had to postpone your wedding due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Thanks!

Are you still having a wedding or just eloping?

Will the postponement take place in the same state (we had a DW planned)?
Will you still have the same guest list?

    Hi Future Mrs. B,

I'm sure postponing your wedding due to a global pandemic is not what you expected to be doing right now--but you're right on track with updating your wedding website ASAP with the new information. Your family and friends will be grateful!

According to 4 Things Every Wedding Guest Needs to Know , you should update:

    - When and where the wedding ceremony and reception will be held (obvious, lol)

    - Any accommodations and transportation available

    - Attire expectations

    - Seating arrangements (if you know your plan, of course)

If you're planning to notify your guests via email or snail mail, there are some templates here: How to Word Your Wedding Postponement Announcement. You'll see one example for what to say if you haven't selected a new date yet.

Finally, here is a glass half-full perspective piece: “My Wedding Was Postponed Due to Covid-19, but Now I Get a ‘Do-Over’” (with a link to a video at the bottom).

I'm wishing you the best of luck! Smiley heart
