    Nice to have. My MOH has been pressuring me just a bit to have one. She claims it's perfect for gifts and whatnot, but I don't much care about that. I don't have anywhere to host one, and I feel odd asking my FMIL if we can have one in her backyard. No thanks.

    Nope, we moved out of state. And we're in out mid-late 30's. We don't need an excuse to throw a party, lol!

    I don't think an Engagement Party is necessary. I've know a couple of people not make it to the altar. Save the money and just have a very memorable Wedding Reception

    Nice to have, BUT can be a great way to include people who aren’t being included in your wedding party itself.

    We are having one, and using the opportunity to invite close friends who are not in our wedding party but we still want to make sure are included in some activities.

    Nice to have. However, we had one because one of our family members was very sick and we wanted them to be apart of it even though they might not be around for the wedding.

    Nice to have — we didn’t have one- I didn’t want to.. we host dinners and get together all the time and we just never thought to have one I guess
