Engaged within the first year of dating?

Engaged on our 3 month "anniversary" have now been together a year and 2mos and will be getting married on our 1 year 6 month anniversary~!!

We were "unofficially" engaged as early as 6 months, but FH didn't actually propose until we were together 19 months (on my birthday ). We will be together 3 years and 2 months on our wedding day.

I definitely dont belong in this category but I love to talk about it! lol We we together for a little less than 7 years when we got engaged and we will be together for 7 years and 9 months when we get married!

What the heck did you ladies do to get your guys to pop the question so fast? LOL I've been with my guy for 5 years, 3 months, STILL waiting.

I had known him a yr and a month, and had been dating for 10 months when he proposed. However, we knew we were going to get married about 5 months in. I'm glad I'm not the only one! Lol. Many of our engaged friends dated for years before he popped the question. But we just felt that it was pointless to wait any longer.

We got unofficially engaged at almost 5 months together and got engaged at 8 months together. That why we have a long engagement. If I was younger than my age right now, I won't do it.

We were friends for two years and dated for 6 months before getting engaged. When you know you know!! why wait??!!

Engaged after 4 months engaged for 3 years and still not married lol

We started dating in march, Engaged 2 months after that.. this sunday will mark 1 year since we have been engaged. my FH has been in Iraq for 10 months, so have only been together, live, in person for 4 months before he left. kinda crazy but in such a good way. Being apart for a year has made us closer in many different ways. by the time we get married, we will have been together for 2 years though. if it was up to him, we would have been married already!

@lauren06-you are one tough cookie...it takes a strong person to go through deployment for so long....congrats

Lauren you are not alone, my FH is about go to war :-( He's in navy and he is always overseas. It is not easy. I know what you mean about being apart mean getting closer :-)

We started talking wedding in February, he proposed on April 10th which is about 10 months since we officially started dating and a year since we've known each other! Im a future military wife too!!!

@Kaili- same thing with FH and I. We knew a longgg time before the actual proposal. We began talking about marriage about 6 months into our relationship. He just wanted to save for the perfect ring....Not to mention we were in high school when we started dating and we were in no hurry. We were actually engaged after dating for almost 2 years. We'll have been together for 4 years when we get married and we'll have technically known each other for 6 and a half years.

Engaged 11 months into dating, 9 months into living together, but i'm also having a long engagement

I totally feel so much better after this! I felt like we were the only ones "unofficially" engaged for a while. And we were the only ones to do it so soon.

Unofficially engaged 10 months into the relationship, seriously planning a little less than three years in. Needed more time to get stuff together before a wedding was feasible

We started dating in July...and talking about getting married in October... lol .... then he ordered the ring in December and proposed in January! So 6 months of dating haha. Crazy how fast life can change!! I think it happened so fast for us because we are just on the same page... and we spent a lot of time apart bc I was living at school (3-5 hours away). Those 3 day long dates made us get to know eachother way faster than normal dating would. Something must be working right though, we've been together every single weekend since we started dating!
