We were friends for about a year before we started dating. His brother is married to my best friend and thats how we met. I was in a really bad unhealthy and unstable relationship and it took alot for me to finally realize it. About a month after I left the loser bf we started hanging out alot more. Then he started asking me on dates. We originally wanted to take it very slow. But when you know you've met your soul mate, you know! And we wanted to be together all the time!! His parents live an hour away from my parents though and it was really hard, so we decided to move in together after only 4 months. Then when we had been together for a year we found out we are pregnant!! And on October 1st he proposed to me!    We had always talked about marriage and knew we were going to get married. And we had decided that neither one of us wanted a long engagement. No longer than 6 months. Neither of us wanted a very large wedding, and we didnt want to spend alot of money on it so 6 months seemed to be perfect. But then we found out about our baby in the making and decided it was important to us to be married before the baby got here. So January sounded like the perfect month!
