Just a color scheme would probably be a good way to start brainstorming--for me, "enchanted forest" suggests a deep emerald for a base color, maybe with a lighter green and light purple/pink/blue as possible accent(s)? But that's just me; what do you imagine when you think "enchanted forest"? You could also do a lot of cool stuff with greenery in the flowers and decorations, and there's got to be a lot of fairy-themed stuff out there for invites, favors, etc.!

Check out prom guides also look at places like oriental trade for fairy themed products. Try making crepe paper flowers instead of real for a whimsical look that is very inexpensive. Additionally think about kids toys from the dollar store for decor/favors. You could buy some little fairy dolls.

Not a problem Dee. I think it depends on your budget and your feelings on invitations. I personally have a hard time spending a lot of money on something where most of them are going to end up in the trash; so I look for invites that are budget friendly. If you have a friend that is a graphic designer or just really good with photoshop they could always mock something up and you could upload them to Vistaprint. Otherwise there are some really different invitations at hellolucky.com or papadivas.com Good Luck!

    Hello, lots of

I think you could use a location that has lots of natural greenery, like a botanical garden, or state park. For decoration, use light flowing fabrics, in soft pastel colors, using butterflies, and lots of fluffy floral arrangements. For an evening reception, lots of potted trees, candlight, and soft instrumental music, like Enya, or celtic music.

    Hope that helps!

    Pink Cake Box Cake

This cake would work. I have a pic of another one that I really love but it is on my computer at work. I'll try to find it for you.

Oooh, yeah, a botanical garden would be a great venue for something like this.

You also might want to check out some WE TV "My Fair Wedding" w/ David Tutera re-runs. There was an episode where he did the enchanted forest really well!! It was very elegant.

What about having your bridesmaids or flower girl wearing fairy wings over their dresses. I think somebody else on here was talking about doing it. I know the dollar tree carries wings when it close to Halloween but that might be cutting it a little too close for your wedding. I know you can easily make some with wire and sheer fabric and a little paint or beads. The dress pattern I'm using for my bridesmaid dresses comes from a Midsummer Night's Dream Costume collection and it comes with a pattern for making fairy wings for adults. Or you can look online for premade ones, but the downside to them is that some are really expensive.

OOOH FAIRIES!!!!!... I love fairies too, but FH has limited me to putting fairies in the wedding. So My FG's will be fairies. Matter of fact I just bought thier wings today.

I really wanted this for my cake topper...

I just got the Spring 2010 issue of Get Married and it's ALL about your theme (not the fairies, but it has a lot of other ideas related to it!). I ripped what I wanted out, which is like, 5 pages. I just rip what I want out because I had a HUGE stack of bridal mags! LOL. If you want me to mail it to you, PM me, because there are too many pages for me to scan.
