Eivan’s Photography and Video

We had a phone consultation with them actually and considered using them. My main issue to begin with is that they don't let you meet with your photographer at all until you're 3 months before your wedding. You can see a gallery of photos, but they won't meet with you. A huge reason that we felt confident about the photographers we ended up choosing is that, in addition to loving their photos, we vibed with them SO WELL just personality-wise. I think that's a huge deal because you spend a good chunk of your wedding day with your photographer... if you don't mesh well with them, it's going to make your wedding day less enjoyable. Our photographers were so much fun, we had a blast taking photos with them and to me honestly enjoying the photo-taking was almost as important to me as the quality of the photos. So not being able to meet with the photographers from Eivans until 3 months before (when it would be too late to book a new photographer if you didn't like them) was pretty annoying to us.

The thing that definitely swayed us out of using them was I started digging deeper into Google and found that they basically bribe people into writing 5 star reviews. I read several posts that said they give you your photos back faster if you write a 5 star review. And don't quote me on this part because I am not 100% sure if I am remembering this part correctly, but I THINK I read somewhere that they also somehow take down their negative reviews? Either that or it was written in the fine print in the contract or something that you're not allowed to write a negative review? I am not sure exactly what the deal with that was, but I remember discovering that they had figured out some sort of way to prevent the bad reviews from making it online and thinking it seemed super shady, so we decided against them.

Though, I mean, I've seen beautiful portfolios from them. So idk if it's all bad. But just letting you know the risks I've seen so you're fully informed!

I have no personal experience with this vendor, however, I did check out its WeddingWire storefront (Eivan's Photo & Video Inc.) and as you mentioned, they have some awesome reviews. I cannot speak for other review sites, but all reviews submitted on WeddingWire are reviewed by a specific team so you can be sure they are authentic.
