Easel stand for signs? What did you use?

Destiny, on October 22, 2018 at 11:23 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 21

Hello!

I have a few signs that I would like to put up for the wedding and I know that typically the ladies on here use easel's to hold them. Where did you find them to be the least expensive? Any other ideas?

I would check with the venue to see if they have easels you can borrow before purchasing one!

I bought mine on Amazon for $20 and I love it! I put the link and a photo below. It comes in a natural wood color, so I just stained it a darker wood because I prefer the dark. I also had to put it together myself but it was super easy to do and it came with instructions. Craft stores have them but they are a bit expensive. It holds a big sign, my welcome sign is an 18x24 frame.

Very true! Mine had plenty, even a large beautiful carved antique wooden one, but it was really beat up.

    Hello Destiny!

Looks like you got some great advice from PPs! Definitely check with your venue to see if they have any first! If not, Michaels is my go-to store for everything photos (and they have amazing coupons online)!

I didn't use mine for signs, but I used one for our ketubah (formal Jewish marriage contract). I found it on Craigslist.

My daughter's venue has several and we are using two of them. The church is also letting us borrow one for the welcome wreath at her ceremony. Check with them first before incurring what might be an unnecessary cost.

Thank you! I bought a template off a designer on Etsy and customized it and printed it.

Whoops! You meant big easels! The ones above are what I’m using for my tabke signs. For the floor easels I was going to use some I saw at Save-on-crafts but it now appears they don’t have them anymore, so now I’m looking too. 😕

I was going to spend money on an easel for our seating chart but now I'm just borrowing my parents cookbook stand. It's pretty and sturdy enough to hold the big frame it's in and it'll just sit on the table with the guestbook.

We went with a simple, collapsible black easel. We borrowed one from my work, but Amazon sells them cheap: https://www.amazon.com/US-Art-Supply-Easy-Folding-Display/dp/B00YCIH4ZK/ref=asc_df_B00YCIH4ZK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198059709086&hvpos=1o5&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1626723936495098341&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001974&hvtargid=pla-320568133116&psc=1. Our sign and the florist's greenery covered more of the easel, so we didn't need anything special or ornate.
