Dress size 14 - Street Size 12. Dress pics??

I am a street size 6/8 but my wedding dress was a size 14.

I quit smoking about 8 months after FH and I started dating and gained 25 pounds so I feel you girl! I am about a street size 10 or so and this is my size 14 dress...

No matter what you will look beautiful because brides are always beautiful and the true happiness of someone marrying their best friend makes you glow like nothing else!

I think this is a 12 and I wear an 6/8 in jeans. you'll find something that looks amazing on you! Don't worry about the size of the dress

Seriously though. I had some self consciousness when going to try on dresses. I always hated my midsection and wide hips.

It was like magic when trying on wedding dresses. It's like every single one (well almost) gave me all the confidence in the world and hid all my insecure places. It was amazing.

When I went in to try on dresses I already had it in my head that I was going to look huge and horrible, but to my surprise I actually looked pretty good. That's why I picked the dress that I did. It's out of my comfort zone by being form fitting but I don't care cause I'm gonna ROCK IT!!!!

I'm a 15 but 14 dress

Wedding dress sizes are crazy. I could fit in anywhere between a 10 and a 18 depending on the designer. Also keep in mind that no one will know what size it is so please don't get hung up on the number.

Also, keep in mind that squeezing yourself in a too small dress is actually much more unflattering than getting the dress in the larger size that fits your body best. I could squeeze into the size 12 dress, but looked awful and was busting out everywhere, I looked so much better in the same style dress in a 14 because it wasn't digging in everywhere.

@Jami P where did you find that dress??? It's beautiful and exactly what I want.

I have not even started dress shopping yet because I was worried about my size. You ladies all look amazing and I appreciate the posts they have helped calm me down and give me confidence.

I'm a street size 4/6 and my wedding dress is a size 12 because of my hips. Don't worry about it!

ETA: the sample size they had in store was a 14. I didnt try on anything smaller than a wedding dress size 12 while shopping. I think the boutiques do a great job making sure their sample sizes don't make anyone feel like a hippo.

I was a 10 then had my daughter 3 months ago now im a 12, my dress is a 16. But any place will tell you, you buy the size that fits the widest part and have it tailored. Size doesnt matter

I am street size 12/14 and my dress ended up being a 22. I think I was between an 18 and 22 but due to my boobs we went up to a 22.
