How many would have been too many for you to handle?

Did you two not provide exact numbers because you didn't feel comfortable or you just didn't think it was necessary?

I understand. I feel the same way, however, at a certain point I would feel a little uncomfortable and want to inquire more about the time frame in between each one, the relationship status, if protection was used, etc. I think that would give me more insight into who the man really is.

We don't know the exact number for each other...we're older and we realize there are a few lovers in our pasts. I don't really care to know and he doesn't either

Nope. We've both been tested. We're clean and benefit from each other's past experiences. Win/Win in my mind.

Well, if I knew the number myself, I could have told her. But she's at least aware of the general parameters.

I've heard about some of her past partners, but I've never asked her for a count.

I know his but I'm not sure if he knows mine. I don't see why I wouldn't have mentioned it when his was brought up but it's definitely a LOW number on both ends. It wasn't something that either of us really dwelled on talking about in detail.
