DOES RAIN MEAN GOOD LUCK ON YOUR WEDDING DAY??

I think someone said that a long time ago to a bride who was freaking out just to make them feel better!!! LOL Seriously, though, I don't know the history behind that belief but I don't feel that rain is good luck or bad luck.

I, personally, don't think so. I think it's just something people came up with to make brides feel better. I don't believe in luck. Things happen... sometimes it rains on wedding days. It's not a harbinger of anything to come, nor is it some favorable nod from the universe.

I've heard the opposite.

I did hear that all morning of my wedding actually LOL... It rained around 7am but by the time I got ready to leave and take photos I had blue skies.

I think that saying is from England where it frequently rains.

. . . also, just a tip -- when you post something in all caps that is the equivalent of yelling. you might want to use it sparingly so people don't think you are screaming about everything. )

That's what I tell all my brides who get rained on, but you might want to remember this quote; "Life is not so much about waiting for the storms to pass as it is about learning to dance in the rain." It is attributed to a breast cancer survivor, but I can't attest to that part, lol...

Just got married Saturday and it rained an hour before the wedding and of course I was in panic mode. And as I was getting my makeup and hair done in ate the spa one of the workers did tell me that rain on your wedding day is goodluck. I had never heard of that before , but needless to say after the raing the rest of the day was amazing!

I seriously think it is something they tell brides because they know the weather totally messed their hair and make-up.

It's good luck if it rains! It's also good luck if there's a full moon a day or two before the wedding. Seeing a rainbow on The Big Day is another lucky sign.

Yes i believe it is good luck my grandmother told me there is a song in her hymn book that talks about how God comes down with the rain with special blessings or good luck and it rained on my wedding day! and it was great lol! best time of my life! every guest was soaked and still stayed and partied on all night it was a wonderful day
