Do you have balls?

Natalie, on March 2, 2017 at 9:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 38

I have balls in the inside of my engagement ring to make my ring more secure on my finger and keeps it from sliding around as well since the size of my ring is a little big. I got used to them and don't even feel them anymore. I like them because it leaves enough room for when my finger swells when it's hot out. My friends recommend that I get my wedding band sized to my true ring size instead of getting balls again, but I was thinking that maybe I would get the same size as my engagement ring and get balls in it so that it would give me room yet still be secure. I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone else have these balls in your ring? What would you do?

You can always size your ring up or down depending on the season, but if you like the balls then keep em lol I think if it was sized properly it might be more secure

Sizing beads. They're sizing beads. I'm giggling about balls over here

For the wedding ring I would do it in your true size with no beads because your engagement ring should keep the wedding band in place.

This is not what I expected this topic to be.

My ering is too big so I have a silicone slinky thing that I put around it to make it secure. For my wedding band I plan on getting it the correct size and getting my e-ring sized down eventually.

I think having it slightly bigger for when your hand swells from heat makes sense if it's uncomfortably tight when it swells. But if it's not, then why not just get it the correct size so you don't have to have the balls put in, it just fits?

I had never heard of this before, but it's an interesting concept. I use the slinky style "sizer" like @lindsey mentioned. I can't get my ring resized because my knuckle is the issue. I used to play basketball and have jammed my fingers so many times. So to fit over me knuckle it needs to be a certain size, but once it's over, it spins around.

One of my friends has them and she said they were little balls so that's what I have been calling them lol. It's a good thing she was with me so I was able to show him what I meant on her ring lol

I have heard many times that when women get pregnant they are unable to wear their rings or when they have sized their ring too many times it takes away from the integrity of the ring. I guess that's what I was trying to avoid.

This is the best. But on topic, if you like them I'd get them again.

I have sizing beads on my engagement ring to keep it from spinning. I just talked with the jeweler today about what size to make my band. I asked him to make it 1/4 size smaller than my ering without beads. I'm hoping it fits!

Id avoid resizing a lot because I've been told that diamonds can fall out more easily if you do it too often.

Any jeweler should be able to add them on for you!

@kristine any jeweler should be able to give you balls :p It's a fairly short and easy process. Only took an hour and during that time I went shopping lol

It takes like a day for me to get my ring resized. I've done it twice now to go smaller. I don't think it's a big deal to just get your ring resized.

I got my rings to fit my finger size. Didn't even know this was an option tbh
