Do I really need spoons?

Laudie, on April 4, 2013 at 4:27 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

None of my food requires the use of a spoon and I can't justify paying money for spoons when they are just going to sit on the table the entire night and not be touched...would you notice if your place setting didn't have a spoon?

If you'll be serving coffee or tea, you'll need spoons. Otherwise, I'd never miss them.

I had he same question! And answered with "no".

Our food will not require any spoons either. We will have coffee, but the mugs and spoons will be on a separate table.

    So, no.

I'd probably notice more if they WERE there, because as a guest I would feel like I missed something delicious Smiley smile

    So I'd skip them.

Just curious if there is a reason you are not having coffee or tea? If you are serving dessert i.e. wedding cake, people usually enjoy coffee or tea with it or afterwards.

Nope I don't have a reason other than I didn't think about it and I honestly can't afford much at this point...thus cutting out spoons haha
