DMV WEDDING VENUE

Soon2bMrsSmith, on July 6, 2013 at 10:29 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

Looking for an Affordable Wedding Venue in the DMV area. I want my ceremony and reception in the same venue. I would love an outdoor wedding with and indoor or tent venue but every place I have come across in this area is on the high end side. We are paying for our wedding out of our pockets with out any Parental funding. If anyone can help me with any lower price locations that would be GREAT!! I already saw the Other Barn and Adelphi Mill these are both in my price range but I'm not really in love with either but price wise they may be my only choices.

OPEN TO ANY MD COUNTY -PG,Charles Calvert St Mary's , Annapolis ETC and some VA locations

The only space I that looked into was set up for an outdoor and indoor wedding ceremony and reception is Catering by Uptown..they are kind of expensive depending on the number of guest but its a beautiful location. Its a place near the La Fontaine Blue in Glen Burnie that have an outdoor space, sorry I cant remember the name but none of the La Fontaine Blues have spaces for an outdoor ceremony to my knowledge. Martin Crosswinds does have a garden space but make sure you are very detailed about what you are looking for in your wedding ceremony and reception.

When I was looking in Maryland, my two top choices were Liriodendron in Bel Air, and Oakland Manor in Columbia. Both were very reasonably priced (they list their prices right on their websites), and would allow us to have outdoor ceremony + indoor reception.

What's your budget? Outdoor weddings in Maryland often mean on the water, which means paying a premium.

I'm getting married at The Point in Broomes Island, which is in Calvert County. I also toured Chesapeake Bay Resort and Spa (Calvert) and Herrington on the Bay (Anne Arundel).

I'm not sure if this fits your budget but I'm going to look at the Serra Valley Barn out in Fredrick. It's $3,200 for both. If you do it in November it's $2,500. You can also look at the Howard County Conservancy. Both of these venues let you bring your own caterer which saves a lot of money!

Thank you, I'm a currently looking at the Columbia Villages, they are priced for lower budget and many locations include outdoor ceremonies. They also include bring your own caterer or self serve. So you have many options especially if your in my situation where we have to pay for our own wedding.

Check it out they are hidden gems. http://columbiavillages.org/- Villages of Columbia MD
