Here are my wedding shoes that I DIY strassed myself using E6000 glue and 5 different sizes of swarovski crystals in AB.

I also bought a bow shoe clip from etsy and strassed it as well to go with the shoes.

I actually used real Christian Louboutins for these, but only because I fell in love with the real Fifi Strass from Christian Louboutin that sell for $3,000. I was NOT going to be able to afford it for that amount, so I decided to just DIY it for 1/3 of that price.

First pic is of the shoe, sans bow. Second is with the DIY bow I made (it's a shoe clip, so you can remove it or wear it in a different location). Third pic is the work in progress (for those of you who are confused as to what I meant by "DIY"~Yes, I added the crystals myself. It took a total of 40 hours for the pair, and 15 for the bows)

I think Esther is an extremely talented woman who will make a lot out of her life. I love the shoes, and even if I could afford the originals, I wouldn't spend that kind of money. Since I can't wear regular shoes, while those are gorgeous, I wouldn't be able to do them. The thought of DIY'ing them is mindboggling, all that time and detail, you need some major patience!

Way to go Esther, I love your site, I love your work too!! Keep it up!

Even if she is selling them, she still told people how to DIY on here.

She's not selling them. She's selling the service of "strassing" them.

Why is it anyones business what kind of job she has? So just because she is a teacher she is not able to afford nice things? Thats kind of a slap in the face.

I think a vendor account needs to be made.

She's basically saying - Hey brides, look what I can do. Come to my site and pay $700 and I will do this for you, too.

Not saying she isn't talented. Just saying I beleive her main agenda for this post was to bring awareness to her art. I am going to guess (I really don't have time to look) that you will see this same post on at least two other popular wedding sites.

"Yes, that etsy account is mine. I started it because I actually posted these shoes on WeddingBee, and there were a couple people who kept asking about them."

OH! So you came here to ADVERTISE! Might want to read the TOS dear, you can't sell your "wares" here.

They are indeed lovely shoes though. I should have guessed when your first post (last night) was about how your photos (also, very pretty) were being published and how you "made" the items in it.

@Meghan There are quite a few teachers in my family and they all have very nice things. I have a cousin who spends lots on her purses and shoes.. Its a matter of how well you save , teachers make a decent living and can afford to have a savings account. She did say this was a once in a lifetime splurge maybe she has been saving for years. I agree with Sharon I could never afford to buy a pair of expensive shoes to experiment on but I'm not going to knock someone who can... I think she gave everyone significant proof that the shoes were done by her. How else are you going to get a picture of a half done shoe? I think some of us are a little to quick to call BS.. Well done Esther, I wish I had your talent!

@Mallory if you read the etsy ad she is not selling THESE shoes she is selling the Crystaling it says to send her a pair of shoes you'd like her to add the crystals to.

^That's not the point, at all. The point is that you can't advertise here. No exceptions.

Hmm... I don't think she was. She posted a DIY idea, and other brides tracked down her information calling her a fake--- and then she had to post things to prove to everyone that she did indeed make the dang shoes.

OP was not a selling post. She was saying she saved money by DIY.

"I am also more than willing to help out fellow weddingbees in the LA area looking for a photographer, makeup artist, or hairstyler (I can do all three!). I can also help out with wedding decorations (examples of my work are above. Also, I am taking floral design classes this summer!) I am trying to raise funds for my own wedding since my parents aren't going to be able to help me out."

I disagree Rachel. I think her OP was a sequay to her Etsy site.

I guess.. but I am not convinced she would have pimped out her site if one of the brides here didn't demand that she prove she did them.
