Here are my wedding shoes that I DIY strassed myself using E6000 glue and 5 different sizes of swarovski crystals in AB.

I also bought a bow shoe clip from etsy and strassed it as well to go with the shoes.

I actually used real Christian Louboutins for these, but only because I fell in love with the real Fifi Strass from Christian Louboutin that sell for $3,000. I was NOT going to be able to afford it for that amount, so I decided to just DIY it for 1/3 of that price.

First pic is of the shoe, sans bow. Second is with the DIY bow I made (it's a shoe clip, so you can remove it or wear it in a different location). Third pic is the work in progress (for those of you who are confused as to what I meant by "DIY"~Yes, I added the crystals myself. It took a total of 40 hours for the pair, and 15 for the bows)

Alright I understand that... but you don't have to keep mentioning it, you have to remember that there are people here that can't afford $3000 pair of shoes... and some people might get either insulted or w/e. I would keep you money making tactics to yourself. just a suggestion. Your financial standing has nothing to do with you making the shoes, that's way out in left field

@ Desiree C., I can't afford 3,000 shoes either, which is why I decided to DIY these. they were still expensive, but not as much.

Ok well good job on your shoes, they look great, you got talent... but talk about the shoes please, not the money, I honestly don't care how much they were and what your spending and what not, I like the shoes, they're awesome... that's what people wanna hear, how you did it, stuff like that, can you use cheaper shoes? you know that kind of stuff, that's all im saying, really.

    @ Noei,

the crystals run about $300 to cover both shoes. I used the following:

    31 Gross 5SS AB

    10 Gross 7SS AB

    10 Gross 9SS AB

    5 Gross 12SS AB

    2 Gross 20SS AB

I used the 5SS the most...this project took a total of 40 hours for both shoes. It's VERY labor-intensive, back-breaking work.

@ Evelyne A. Thank you! Just so you know, that petal curtain on there actually took SOOOO long. It takes about an hour to do 2 of those garlands, and there are 160 of them (that picture is only of HALF the curtain). That does NOT include the hours I spent actually attaching them to the curtain rod, which I had to drill holes into first (I went through 4 drill bits trying to make that thing).

At the end of it, my thumb was cracking and bleeding, and now it is permanently disfigured.

I think the real deal is that Esther is looking for a way to pimp her crafts.

I'm thinking it's an account to pimp the Etsy store IMO.

Anyway, can we stop the whole "if you can afford 3K shoes, you are offending me?" We are all in different areas of our lives financially, so let's be equal on how we treat people.

We don't treat people who can't afford them badly, so let's not treat anyone who can badly.

Could you show a picture of the back of the bow? I'm interested to see how the clip works.

Unless you would ask a budget bride to stop talking about how her dress only cost $200. then that would be fair.

I think there may be a few apologies owed...

The shoes look great and I think it is awesome that you were able to complete them. Your feet are going to look great at your wedding.

I just want to know how someone who does teaching jobs and tutoring can afford real CLs to begin with, even if they are cheaper than the original.

I would have used a nice pair of Steve Maddens or Enzos. They are just as comfrotable, and significantly cheaper- we are trying to save money, aren't we?

Because if you can truly afford to spend that much on a pair of shoes for your wedding, you wouldn't be complaining about trying to save money on the wedding.
