I think this depends on the couple, I would say do what you want but be careful not to take on more than you can handle. I am doing a few DIY's but only things that I know I can do.

Mostly DIY! I'm a graphic designer so I'll design all our invites, website, and signage. My dad is building our arch. We're also doing Sola flowers, our own centerpieces, and photo booth.

I had every intent to but I was never happy with my homemade stuff. So I would suggest a pro create the important things to you ex: flowers, favors, catering.

I love working with flowers and my FH is good with graphics. So I'm guessing the programs, the centerpieces, the bouquets and the corsages. I found a centerpiece picture that only uses 2 calla lilies per centerpiece, so it shouldn't be crazy expensive. I'm toying with the idea of getting silk boutoineers. We'll see.

I did two types of centerpieces, and our own place cards, table names and bar sign.

Probably going to do a couple! The photo booth background, the arch and probably a few other things here and there.

I'm looking to do a unique music themed bouquet, which should be fun. I'm also making a flower crown/hair piece for myself. If I decide to have a MOH, I may well end up doing an accessory for her as well.

I am naturally crafty, I like to save money and put my own stamp on things, so I have no reason not to. Smiley laugh

A few very simple ones because sometimes it is just easier to do things myself,

    Probably too many.

    - Prayer flags
    - Flowers (my bridesmaid and her husband are helping, it's their thing that they love)
    - Signs
    - Programs
    - Send offs
    - probably some other decor items I haven't thought of yet

My whole wedding is DIY. me and my daughters have been DIYing since this time last year. We made our own photo props for my wedding and bridal shower(that was cancelled). I did the girls flower hoops, blinged out the vases for the centerpieces. I'm working on my veil that I ordered from eBay.

We’re not crafty at all. My best friend has graciously stepped in and she’s doing an amazing job... I’m so blessed and very appreciative to have her 😍

We are trying to DIY as much as possible. Right now we are doing invites, signs, arch, centerpieces, bouquets/boutonnières, sweat heart table, backyard games, decorations... We like it, and it adds a personal flare to a wedding. So far, it’s been quite a bit cheaper

I'll make sure to have at least one, as I live for crafting. 😁
