diy Flowers- i need help!

Cassi, on June 11, 2019 at 4:23 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

Hey Guys! So I decided to do the Sola flowers for my wedding but everyone wanted pretty much as much as they wanted for real flowers so I decided to do them myself.... easy enough I'm pretty freaking crafty... I got my flowers, dyed them and started arranging (which has been a lot of fun) BUT the filler if killing me. Idk what fillers look best and where to buy it for a deal. the craft stores I've gone have them in a bundle so it looks like the right amount but its all attached to one stem and when I insert my flowers it just looks big and bulky... I wish I could cut them in half or even a third to better disperse them but so far that hasn't been an option. Where did all you wonderful DIY brides get your flowers and fillers? Would also love to see pictures!

    Hi there Cassi!

Well done you for making your own flowers Smiley smile I’m not crafty and would not be able to do this!

What are the flowers like you created? Do you have a picture?

What different types of fillers have you tried?

Thats my bridal bouquet. It has very minimal filler in it, just some leaves and tansies and what not. I will probably still add a bit of filler to thicken it up but yeah its been a nightmare finding anything that works without look bunched up.

That looks so good, well done!

I really like the leaves! I personally think it's nice and thick at the moment, however, if you want to add more thickness, I like what you've used already! More of the same should work Smiley smile

I bought mine as a kit off Etsy (I stumbled across a great deal) but these are the fillers in my Sola flowers.

See your fillers look so nice! I need more filler in mine for sure just not sure what to add hmmm... I should check etsy for just fillers Smiley smile maybe they will have them cheaper than the sola site. I love eucalyptus leaves and tansies but the eucalyptus leaves are so expensive.
