diy Autumn wedding floral arrangements

Mary, on July 13, 2019 at 3:09 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

Hi there! Here are some of the arrangements I've made for my early September wedding. I'm using Fall colors because I've always like Autumn! The main color is navy blue (MOTB, MOH, BM's dresses, etc., but I've chosen the rich colors of the Autumn palette to compliment the dark navy! My theme is sort of a country-style, so it's reflected in almost everything.

Wow, thank you so much for the sweet compliments! If you're looking for some boots to use for flower arrangements, check out the local thrift stores--or you can even ask someone who has a pair, if they'd let you borrow them for a "special event!" I was able to find a large quantity of fall color flowers and leaves at a thrift store about a month ago, and I mixed them in with other flowers that I had purchased for 1/2 price at a hobby store! I added a photo of some of the guest table arrangements and a candalabra that I'm using for one of the tables. I am working on a tight budget, so I'm using mason jars that I already have and I purchased inexpensive battery-operated candles from a dollar store to put inside each (I also bought river rock at the same store to put in the bottom of each jar. The river tock is really inexpensive, and adds a nice touch. For the "country" look, I decided to use burlap table runners on a white tablecloth. (The tableclothes are borrowed from a friend who had a restaurant!)

Hi! Thank you for the nice compliment! I finished baking the wedding cake and cupcakes last night. I still have to make the icing, but I won't ice the cakes until a week before the wedding. I've also been working on my dress.
