OCTOBER BRIDES!

MrsMartin101213, on September 12, 2013 at 1:06 PM Posted in Planning 0 34

Can you believe our weddings are NEXT MONTH? Date twins - officially 1 month exactly! How is everyone doing on planning? I am pretty comfortable with where we are at, just a few things here and there to take care of. Then it is a day to celebrate followed by a week of relaxation in Jamaica! Congrats to all the brides, any month of any year! Smiley laugh

31 days! I can't believe we are already to this point! I'm less stressed and more anxious. It doesn't help that FH and I are trying to pack our apartment while wedding planning and working full time. Oh and he has a big test to take in a week! Lots of little things left to do for me but the big important stuff is done so that makes me happy. We are almost there ladies!!

Right now my biggest concern is picking music, which I have yet to really begin...and gathering it in some form for the wedding (playlist or ???) - my BM's husband has sound equipment we can use, but we need to coordinate with him.

Pretty much everything else is little details that either I know will get done or won't be the end of the world if I don't finish them, but I'd like to.

    Paint cake topper

Create labels/instructions,etc for guestbook time capsule

Create thank you tags for favors

    Put together corsages/bouts for parents/grandparents

    Create ceremony program

    Find readers for ceremony

    BP gifts

    **music**

I'm sure there's other things (which are on my master list), but those are the main ones.

Next month, we'll be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary -- probably going out to dinner somewhere nice.

I need to do the table numbers, place cards (my venue requires one for each guest w/ their meal selection on the front), DIY one last decoration, have my fittings (I know I am cutting it close), iron, iron, iron, and oh yeah, I am starting a new job with a new schedule on the 7th because I am completely insane.

Oct. 4 so 22 days!! I can't wait. Literally, I think I could about pass out from the EXCITEMENT of it all. After this weekend, every single thing will be done, with the exception of:

    1) OOT bags (assembled the weekend before)

    2) Transporting decor to our venue (Wednesday before)

When we started all of our planning, the one thing we quickly came to a conclusion on is that we were going to finish early and be DONE...so that we could enjoy the 2 weeks or so leading up to the wedding and all the celebrations.

Happy (almost) Wedding month, fellow October brides!!

    23 days for me!

I'm planning to finish up all of my DIYs by the end of next weekend (with the exception of whatever extras I throw into the OOT bags)

    So excited!

31 days! It's all just little things at this point. Probably the biggest thing I need to do is my programs... I keep putting them off.

This weekend is a big one -- I have my hair and makeup trials, second fitting, a meeting with our photographer, and one with our officiant (aka my BIL so that one will be more like talking wedding business for half an hour and then drinking). But still.. whew!

Date twin!!! I've still got a fair amount to do, but I think it's stuff that can be handled in a wedding if I really put my mind to it Smiley smile.

-Finish getting things together for our DIY photobooth

-Pick up the rest of the wedding party gifts

    -Practice our first dance

-Print out the programs and drink tickets for the cocktail hour

-Finish the table setup and design the table cards

    -Print out the table cards

-Design random signs for the ceremony and reception

-Order cake boxes for our wedding favors

-Pick songs for the Wedding Party/Parent/Bride and Groom entrance

-Pick songs for the garter toss and cake cutting

-Get song list to the DJ

-Order the guestbook (I should do that today. Like, really.)

    -Buy the alcohol

-Sort out some of the extra entertainment we'll have at the reception

...Eeep. that seems like a lot when I look at it like that.

    -print programs

    -finish song lists

    -do next hair/makeup trial

-check in with all my vendors

-finish getting all ceremony stuff, ordered some of it today

I know there is more! I have list upon lists

23 days for me! I have to find the rest of my BM gifts, GM gifts and reserve the restaurant for the rehearsal. Other than that, everything is done and paid for. I do have a few really minor things to take care of, but tomorrow is my last day of work so I'll have plenty of time to take care of those in these next couple of weeks.

btw, we invited 149 and have had only 87 rsvp yes. about 15 declines. I'm hoping for a few more this week or else I'll add sending an email to my list of things to do.

Yeah date twins! 29 days ladies!

So far so good on the planning. I have one thing to sew tonite (wine caddy for my MOH shower gift) buy the wine for that, have my shower and after party Saturday, finish paying the caterer, chase slow RSVPs, meet with my hair/makeup stylist, get the marriage license in 2 weeks....

its coming together and I'm getting excited!

Finished the music last night. WHEW! Hard to pick songs from the 1950s cause I like them all but not all of them are wedding appropriate.

Congrats to all us October brides!

1 month and 1 week. I have accepted that the small details are nothing to get stressed over. I am happy with the laid back outside wedding we are having and cannot wait to be his wife Smiley smile
